  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC-M clarification...

All good and appreachiated, and if I had the practical means to have the option, I'd gladly taken two and put them to dayly use on 16-hour/day productions in snow/wind/studio/remote places tomorrow. (I don't have the means, I am doing the productions, though. I am just not in charge of equipment priorities...)

Dude, if I had the money I would get one even if it was shooting windowed 2K @ 24fps, who are these dorks who would complain about not having xyz crazy-ass futurecamera feature enabled (yet!!) when they're like the third person to take delivery of brand new technology?!
 
Any Scarlet-M fixed program planned ? I'd like to do extensive tests on an early build version.

It is like the old days with the RED ONE... firmware upgrades, etc. We have a sense who can embrace the process... and you need to know what you are signing up for. If your 1st question is "what is not enabled"... trust me, you aren't the right customer for EPIC-M and should wait.

The work being done now with EPIC-Ms is the groundwork for production EPIC-X. This is good for everyone. I hold all the exception cards for deliveries and I play them when I think it is in everyone's best interest. We need hard core professional use and feedback to make this project as good as possible.

Please don't ask about dates for shipping EPIC-X. We have given guidelines (approx. dates) that we think we can meet. But this is a very difficult project with lots of moving parts. Also don't read into this that there is a big delay. There isn't (as of today).

If you are an EPIC-M candidate given these facts, make sure Kelly has your info.

Sorry for asking but what is epic -M , i have placed order for epic in stage 2 but i just get confused with the names what is epic M and what is epic X.
help...

EPIC-M is a hand machined version of the EPIC. It's more expensive, but you could get it more early than the EPIC-X that is the factory machined version.

That made me really laugh… as that absolutely was the first thing that popped into my head!

I just don’t have the mental discipline to not ask that question.

It definitely takes a very special person or organization to not even think that.

So I guess over time we’ll find out what they (the EPIC-Ms) CAN do and when it makes sense to jump on the bus.
