Brain only... 5lbs on the nose.

I really can't wait till you guys get to pick it up and shoot 5k at 100fps like we just did.. it's incredible.

Btw, love this picture.

3K Fixed
3K Cinema (interchangeable lenses)
5K S35
6K FF35 (Monstro Sensor)

Specifications, prices and delivery dates are subject to change. Count on it.

There was some debate a while ago as to whether a comment from Jim had hinted that there won't be a FF35 Scarlet. There was no clarification from the RED team though.

Jarred, Red already offers with Epic more than can ever dream of. May I still add one thing to the wishlist; The tradition in wildlife shooting is to hide with the camera from birds and other animals. Looking at the images/renders of pro remote controller however suggests that with Epic one can put the camera on a motorized remote head running on a remote controlled dolly or a cable track and only the cameraman is in a hide. The remaining issue is, how can one switch the camera on and off remotely or is there a sleeping mode that can be activated/deactivated remotely?

That's good to know about the 2.8"

The 9" is listed as TBD, and the 7" current model is $2500. If the 9" is gonna be like >$3000 then for me I'm probably gonna have to go with the smallHD and use either the 2.8" for what it can do, or, just not use touch and use the redmote. While I'd love the simplicity of the Red LCD, for the larger models, the 5 inch not having greater resolution doesn't make it very appealing to me. I bet that 9 is gonna look great though :)

What resolution is the current Red one 7"?

So can more then one Red LCD be run at a time, or are we limited to one Red LCD like on the Red One?

I believe that all 3 outputs can have independant overlay settings.

Jarred/Jim... what camera are you using to take the stills? This possibly an Epic in stills mode? Hmmm?

Just wondering... they look fantastic as usual. Keep em coming!

Awesome work from the RED team! Things were getting a bit quiet here so it's great to see so much progress.

I'm really dying to know how much the Fixed Scarlet will weigh now...

The REDmote is wireless and looks like it can turn the camera off/on and engage/disengage sleep mode. RED hasn't announced it's exact range at this point.

Can we see redcode 42 vs 250 ?
Please...

Hey Ryan,

Getting stoked for the M-X test on Thursday! Obviously this may have changed, but last time I checked the outputs can support either EVF or LCD.

Roll on team!

hey guys im just trying to wrap my head around the resolution of the 2.8in lcd. Im lookin at the specs of my crappy little sony handycam and the screen spec is 921K pixels. How does that compare to the rez of the 2.8in lcd?

With the specs quoted the 2.8inch LCD would have a res of 403200 pixels, under half what you list, unless Sony in this case are stating pixels in terms of individual RGB dots, in which case you'd divide that 921 by three and end up with less.

The ports are dual use.. can be either EVF or LCD.

That's probably VGA resolution (640*480) like the Canon 7D and 5D screens.

Jarred mentioned earlier that the screen is 840x480, can't wait to see it,

Bill

2.8" touchscreen LCD in action...

This little screen is so BADASS... 840x480 24bit Capacitive Touchscreen with an incredibly wide color gamut.
