what is the battery life of REDVOLT XL compared to two standard REDVOLT batteries? double, or more than double?

Jarred can correct me (he likes to) but last I heard is that it is just a bit more than double the standard REDVolt.

If you set it to REDCODE 2... you might get almost as many compression artifacts as a 5D.

Jim or Jarred, can you tell me which of the two shoulder mounts (or both, or neither?) you're planning to move forward with for Epic?

I have always loved the form factor of that first one immensely, but never see it in any "real" shots. It also looks like it would block the ports on the back of the Epic brain near the bottom, but perhaps they're not necessarily needed for all kinds of shooting (ie, the output module replicates everything we'd need). Would love to hear which direction it's headed.

A bit different than both... you'll see it on Wed. Actually, there are two new ways to do it.

Any word on the functions of the "4-8" buttons on the right of the REDmote? I see symbols, but not are all symbols I'd expect to see in a cinema mode.

Many are user programmable... they come with a default setup that you can change.

wow. I love all the auto focus points. if we put on a canon mount will we have auto focus for stills right away? or will their be extra parts needed beyond buying the canon mount?
