Again I say. 1080 50i is the international standard for television. not 25p.
No point arguing with me.. Thats how it is
Since when was Epic a TV camera?

LOL
Thought the discussion was on monitoringpath, not on end-product...![]()
Well film cameras managed to co exist for the last 30 years, lateral thinking is sometimes required!
Also no one would want to watch sport in 25P as the motion is shithouse. That is the main reason TV will always be interlaced.
... interlace has no place in the 21st Century
I want interlace to go away forever and never reveal it's ugly head again.
A FRAME IS A FRAME IS A FRAME.
Stop this two fileds shit to make a frame. It's just dumb.

Could not agree more. I don't really have anything to add to this, I just feel incredibly strongly about it and wanted to voice my support.I want interlace to go away forever and never reveal it's ugly head again.

This should work just fine, Kaku... I have bought one (they're still on backorder everywhere), but this is one of my intended uses for it when it arrives.I'm thinking to use Sound Device PIX240 but does anyone know if it does live output/conversion?
Plenty of feature films have involved sport, never been a problem. IMHO 50p would be a better solution for sport in TV, interlace has no place in the 21st Century
Try and watch 90 minutes of a football match at 25p and see if you don't get a headache.
.
Not at 25p you haven't! Works in all modes except 25p
Sorry, didn't catch that.
We tested the Epic-M's 720p out yesterday with the Panasonic field recorder at 720/59.94 mode and sorry to say that Epic-M's 720/59.94p didn't work.
There is a bug in the current firmware. While you can output at 720p it is limited to 29.97 no matter what you select under refresh rate. So, while you may have 720p59.94 selected, it is actually outputting at 720p29.97. My guess is this will be addressed in the next build.
