So....I noticed that MX Scarlets are now "temporarily unavailable" in the RED Store. Have we reached the end of the line for spankin' brand new examples of my little camera that could?

I expect we have. RIP, Scarlet.

I wasn't saying the camera wasn't still good. It is fantastic and will continue to be. I simply noticed that RED may have officially (though quietly) shut the door and turned out the light. Perhaps ladies and gentlemen, Scarlet MX has left the building.

I'm hoping to enjoy it until it runs out off red gamma 4 juice. I literally shoot with the camera 3-4 days per week and love it. It's a beautiful little beast, and whilst RED may not have it in their retail outlet, it's still in our hands to shoot great stuff!

Scarlet MX may have left the building, but the indie mavericks like us will continue to tear down the building with it in our own way!

Have fun!

Still listed as temporarily unavailable. Methinks that temporary status will go to permanent. Great camera.

Possibly so with a new Scarlet upgrade being announced at NAB (possibly) - that would make the Dragon the "old" version and the new one the "it" thing. So I'm seeing it go away for good.

Not sure it is end of line yet, but it looks like Jarred and Christopher Probst had fun doing some circles with a few Scarlet X

That could also explain why they were temporarily unavailable in store :-)

Sometimes the fastest way between two points is not a straight (end of) line, hehe

Do I see another battle tested blowout on the horizon?
