  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Typically the diagonal tearing isn't the biggest of worries, especially considering a quick toggle between playback and record usually gets rid of it. I'm glad that they've mostly been consistently working to get rid of it.

A flash of vertical lines on the monitor (striking through the GUI as well).
Should I try reinstalling?

Edit: it's also happening in playback mode when loading the next or previous clip

Please keep us updated. I'm waiting to upgrade my camera until I hear that this is either resolved or figured out. Did downgrading fix this? (To a v6 firmware - or is this locked as well?)

Is anybody getting this issue where the screen goes black/no menus when switching resolution or switching from playback to record? This is happening to my Scarlet-W without a lens mounted.

experienced the same...lines when going from magnify focus in / out

They don't stay, only present in the flash.. for everything that needs a screen refresh (toggling magnify, getting in and out playback mode, loading the next or previous clip in playback, changing recording resolution, etc.)

Yup I'm seeing this issue. Get it with or without the lens mount. I've submitted the camera log to RED.

Can anyone elaborate on this? I thought 3D LUTs in IPP2 were based on RWG/3g10 (in and out) - does this change that to RLF? Or is this specifically for Legacy mode (or something else entirely)?

That should not be happening on the latest RCX version. Please double check you are on the latest. If this still happens we'll need a sample clip.
 
This is happening to me as well on the Scarlet-W, however my screen actually goes completely blank when I change the resolution. I have to reboot the camera and then it's in the correct resolution I chose. Its not terrible, but it is highly frustrating!! Who wants to reboot each time you change the resolution!
 
I submitted a Ticket to RED for these problems! I suggest everyone else does the same, this is very unacceptable!

+1 someone need to explain this.
It would be very sad if Legacy mode only cameras like the Scarlet-W would not be able to monitor RWG/Log3G10 via IPP2 3D LUT anymore!

Fixed diagonal tearing of RED Touch 7"
 
Canon & Zeiss ZE lenses misreporting f stops. 50mm,85mm F1.4 aperture shows as f1.5 down to 22.6 and canon 24-70/I & 70-200/II f2.8 lenses show as f2.9.
double Screen refresh after LCD image zoom or changing resolution is an annoyance also.
 
I am also experiencing these issues as a RED Scarlet-W owner. The screen goes black on me when changing resolution and when I try to view my clips. Like above its happening during the the screen refresh! Virtually unusable to me on set right now!!
 
Same problem on my RAVEN, max aperture +0.1 on lenses and flashy lines on magnification. No other problems till now!
