Holy cow, good on Jarred for commending the work WC has done. Honestly, coming to REDuser and seeing how active the community is (and most importantly how much open communication there is between owners and customers--something I've grown frustrated with Sony about) was a pretty big part of why I put down my Scarlet-W deposit.
I gotta give it to the wooden camera guys.. they did a good job with their Weapon accessories.
I think it is time to bury that animosity and start embracing their efforts...

Got to say... I am also happy about this Jarred,
Met Ryan and his wife back when I first did the USA road trip on M8... Was their guest and sow first hand what they where up to before the all issue started...
I stopped buying their gear because the deep respect I have for RED, He understood...
Now I'll buy again from them and makes me happy to support both you and them two of my most favorite companies!!

That's still a secret...
its a shame the fans aren't larger and slower moving, you might find it reduces noise , well worth the extra space they might take up:?.. I find sound is as important as images .. you seem not to at red to be honest..
anyway, great you found out the correct place to position them in the end anyway.. again, shame it didn't happen much earlier ... you should do tests before going to production?
also good to hear about the auto calibration .. which you don't mention.. and is about the only interesting thing in that list for me .. other than improving on the fans ..god knows dragons tiny pixels need every help with low light/ noise
id have gone for weapon, ..I said would..but I paid the price of a decent car to upgrade to dragon two weeks before you announced weapon, and since not even the sensor will be reused during the upgrade..its unclear why I couldn't have just gone epic mx-> weapon when I was ready ..
also, ill be wanting a s35 or fullframe sensor at 4.5k (decent 4k ioversample). i don't want sensor sizes that are neither this, nor that.
just don't want more pixels, bigger files, higher datarates. id prefer bigger photosites, and a cleaner image getting compressed at the datarates we currently have access to
weapon offers very little to me, except to flag the future of staying with red..increasingly expensive . if I can upgrade to "whatever comes after weapon" from my dragon..
we might have a future doing business, but the track as its laid out doesn't go to a destination I'm prepared to keep paying for, and the math just doesn't add up
prores .. still laughing at that one ..
Did you hear that RED? Boy, you are so lucky he'll might do business with you still. Phew...we might have a future doing business

the new Sensor adjustment for back-focus is a hidden little jem. It has been repositioned below the front logo coin said:http://www.redgrabs.com/up/1449989399.jpg[/IMG]
