Hi Alain,

to use the "Outrigger Handle" (it's real name) you don't need anything else, as show on pic below, yet if you do have aTactical Tp Plate mounted on your Epic/Scarlet, will allow to be mounted at different spots atop your camera, allowing for flexibility of balancing and actual positioning of were the handle will end up, up to you, there are options... There always are with RED... ;)

Great News, I was worried about my RPP 50mm - which is my go to lens recently (it really is a great lens for motion control shoots and has a excellent feel on the monochrome at T1.8). I have had to stop using my 18mm rpp on my monochrome at 5k, it was a great lens at 4k for my scarlet though. I'm hoping the 35mm RPP will sneak in there and work fine on the dragon.

As it wasn't clear if we'd have an anamorphic build ready in time, I brought my set of RPPs with just in case. Thankfully, Jarred pulled a rabbit out of his hat and made Dragon Ana happen, so we shot all of our material anamorphic. We did take out the 50mm RPP for a quick look, however, but I didn't really have time to thoroughly investigate much about the coverage or even the subtleties of the Dragon Epic itself. I had a very tiny crew and no AC even so I was doing 5 jobs simultaneously.

I'll post more when I get a chance to have the dragon footage processed and see what we can pull out of it vs. MX Epic.

What is this all about?

Sorry.. Don't worry about it. Some guys started going on about how they didn't like our logo and posted examples of how it should look.. which I hope people can understand Jim and I would take great offense to. They deleted their posts and everything is good now.

My Epic, My Red Cap and my upcoming Red shirt (getting one really soon with something else) take great offense in this! Love the design. Love the name of the new sensor. Don't understand why there's no new "brand" stuff at the store. A cool, black, Red logo Jacket comes to mind. A Laptop Red sleeve would be killer for our Mobile Red DIT computers (Retina!). In designs terms, I love it all. It might not be status quo, but I hate "vanilla" design. Keep up the good work!

Very exciting times, watching history unfold, living through the evolution as it occurs, and sparking the revolution to come. There's been a lot of dire predictions of "implosion" of the film industry, and for the most part, I agree, the old ways of doing things are going to change, fast. But there's nothing dire about it, it's only potentially bad for those holding the reigns, and only if they do not adapt.

Red One started it all, Epic and Scarlet rewrote the rules, Dragon is heralding of even greater things to come. We are that change, and now more than ever our tools have advanced to such a point that there may be nothing we can't accomplish. Some say implosion, I say rebirth, some believe the large studios will topple, I believe we are on the crux of a whole new global film movement, a cinematic renaissance. I'm very glad to be here right now.

I still haven't seen a date for Dragon body purchase availability. Any news on this front? I am in the market for another body and would prefer to buy the camera with Dragon installed.

I think the Big RED Dot is the most elegant logo I've ever seen.

(xx xxxxxxx, xxx x xxxxx xxxx xxx xxxx xxxx xxxxx xx xxxxxxxxx xx xxxxxx...

...the beautifully designed Dragon sensor and equally beautiful DRAGON etching on the brain.)

EDIT: x-ed out part of my post since it was an unsolicited (good humored semi-negative) opinion that I should just keep to myself, since it has no bearing on anything of importance.
