  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Dragon....

I got a question; will the original REDone EVF and LCDs work with Dragon?

Yes. And Danai, all the cards will handle Dragon max resolution, the faster cards will be able to shoot lower compression.

Hey jarred,

What is the one thing you that stands out most about the new color science? Also can this new color science be applied to all older red footage, or is it dragon specific?

How about a few stills of Epic Dragon in action?

Phil,
How did that red pro prime perform on dragon? Highest resolution w/ no vignette?

Did I miss something on that handle setup? I've had something like that on my homebrew list for a while... Looks to be exactly what I was wanting. Outrigger but better.

So you get the same 16+ stops of latitude at 200 asa as you do at 2000 with the Dragon. No latitude penalty when you lower ASA. Which means when you are shooting outside, less ND filters. Less IR issues, better images.

Endless curiosity in technical matters: Does this mean the noise range of the sensor does not depend on the amplifying level, and thus, the same latitude is obtained with different amplifying levels? Nevertheless, the end result --doesn't matter which ISO-level is set in the range between 200-2000-- is simply wonderful.
