  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Dragon Upgrade Update - Epic-X upgrades and Dragon Epic-M orders begin to ship

Well things are going well. Our commitment to increase capacity that we kicked off at NAB has been very successful thanks to an incredible effort from our engineering and manufacturing teams, and we continue to upgrade Dragons in record numbers.

In fact.. we were originally expecting to start Dragon upgrades of Epic-X ( Priority 4.2 ) in early June, I am pleased to announce that Epic-X upgrades begin today.

Also, Epic-M Dragons pre-orders start shipping today!!!!. Some pics from the assembly line last night below.

We are still on track to start shipping new Scarlet Dragons ( Priority 4.3 ) early next month.

Here is a reminder on schedule:


· PRIORITY 1.1: EPIC-M Carbon Fiber New Camera Orders: Shipping.
· PRIORITY 1.2: EPIC Carbon Fiber + DRAGON Sensor Upgrades: Shipping.
· PRIORITY 2: EPIC DRAGON Owners Needing OLPF Update: Shipping.
· PRIORITY 3: “EPIC-M DRAGON / Early Adoptor / Purchased EPIC-X Within 30 Days of NAB 2013” Upgrades (meaning you placed your pre-order during the exclusive ordering period of Monday AM through Thursday AM of NAB 2013):Shipping.
· PRIORITY 4.1: EPIC-M DRAGON New Camera Orders: After all owners of PRIORITY 3 level have been notified they are eligible to send in cameras for upgrade, new EPIC-M DRAGON orders will begin to be processed. Shipping.
· PRIORITY 4.2: EPIC-X DRAGON Upgrades: After all owners of PRIORITY LEVEL 3 have been notified they are eligible to send in cameras for upgrade, EPIC-X DRAGON upgrades will begin to be processed. Shipping.
· PRIORITY 4.3: SCARLET DRAGON New Camera Orders: Expect to begin in June 2014.
· PRIORITY 5.2: SCARLET DRAGON Upgrades: After all owners with EPIC-X DRAGON upgrade pre-orders have been notified their cameras are eligible for upgrade, SCARLET DRAGON upgrade orders will begin to be processed.
· PRIORITY 6: EPIC-X DRAGON New Camera Orders: Date to be able to order is TBD.
· PRIORITY 7: SCARLET to EPIC-X DRAGON Trade-ins: Will begin being processed once EPIC-X new camera orders are shipping.

This is great. Isaac Marchionna and I were ordering at the exact same time and his epic x was called today, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed that my notification comes in today or sometime this week. And then on to getting that scarlet dragon as a b cam :)
 
Woohoo! So... how long do you expect to get through all of the current Epic-X upgrades on order? 1-2 months? 3-6 months? 7 months - a year? What kind of wait am I in for? :D

Congrats! Sent my M in last week, just got notice for delivery tomorrow (Wednesday). Very quick turnaround. Thank you Red!
 
Nice to see things moving along. :)

Got my M Dragon back over a week ago. Unfortunately it got sent back to RED end of last week, since it seemed to have a scratch/ flaw/ booger on the OLPF that wasn't just dust and I haven't heard any report yet. :( …not trying to scare anyone with that little tidbit. I'm not upset or anything, just telling it how it is and my BS rep is taking care of me.

From the time I dropped the M off at FedEx to the time FedEx returned it to me, it was 11 days with a weekend in the middle. I sent in an EPIC-X that arrived a day later and it took 6 days more to complete the upgrade process for that one.

Seems the 7-10 business day turn around is pretty much the norm, and fluctuates a bit with the number of incoming cameras.
 
Interesting, new scarlet dragons will ship before new epic-x dragons.....

That should increase scarlet sales a bit.
