Nothing at all wrong with having spare free fans. Thanks very much ;-)

Or how about a RED Store credit towards another accessory, please...?
We are not doing a credit. Conversely, if everyone would prefer we don't do fans with the upgrades, I am sure no one at RED would object to not including them.
Its pretty clear to me that the new fans must be important to have on the new Dragon.
Solid point not answered in the FAQ- will the old fans be shipped back with the Dragon or will they be scrapped/recycled when the 2.0 version are installed?
So the 90 day warranty will be on the entire camera after the upgrade?
From my previous post:
Customer upgrades their camera with no warranty (no standard or RED Armor) they will receive a 90 day warranty for the upgrade
Customer upgrades their camera and it still has a standard warranty, if it exceeds the 90 days it will cover the upgrade
Customer upgrades their camera and has RED Armor, whatever length they have left on their Armor warranty will cover the upgrade
Customer has the choice to buy additional Upgrade Armor to also project their upgrade
To answer your specific question the 90 days only covers the sensor itself not the camera.
From the Red.com support section:
The SCARLET RED DRAGON Upgrade Program includes:
- New RED DRAGON sensor
- A new OLPF
- A new Front Enclosure
- An updated DRAGON coin logo
- DSMC 1.8” SSD SIDE MODULE laser engraved with “DRAGON”
- A new ASIC board
- DSMC FAN 2.0 UPGRADE KIT (TOP/BOTTOM)
While I don't see how e.g a laser engraving needs a warranty, I would think a new ASIC board certainly should be under warranty as part of the upgrade. Please clarify if this is covered also for 90 days or is it only the sensor?
Priority wise I`m sure it wouldn't come high on anyone's list of spares.
Great once you get Dragon you`ll have two spares. Very useful :thumbsup:Since it's a user replaceable part that renders your camera useless if it fails, I've had a spare since day 1.

Good question, Alex. Let me see if we can add that wrinkle. No guarantees we can accommodate, but I can ask : )
Brent passed along this request and we worked with all parties involved to change the DRAGON upgrade process to accommodate this for customers. The corresponding FAQs on RED.com will be updated shortly.

What about the old tactical top plate? Do we send it for modification? Or we need to buy the new one?
