Yes, that should work correctly.

Cool, I totally understand why youre doing what youre doing with the auto-hide and overlays. Just scared me a few times when we brought up the menu and you can no longer see a record icon.
Any reason why the Auto-hide is active even when I am do not have the button checked in Monitor controls? Am I missing a different menu option?

Like I said, we'll take a look at possibly adjusting the overlay positions when the menus are active so we don't scare you anymore.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say the Auto-Hide is active even when you don't have the option selected. Can you elaborate a bit. What monitor configuration do you have? What settings are there? What is your expected behavior vs what actually happens?

I can't reproduce this problem.

You are correct in your understanding - if "Auto Hide Menus" is unchecked and the display mode is "Overlay" (and not "Clean") you will always have the menus shown on the display.

Or better, I would like to be able to switch manually from Red LCD to HD-SDI. I know how to switch from HD sdi to red touch but it's a one time thing, with the double click.
If we could be able to switch from one to the another it would help a lot.
DP always want to use the touchscreen to tweak and test, but I can't have it back on my tvlogic without going into the menus, it's annoying.


As long as I'm here, If we could be able to switch from any fan mode, to manual, it would be really nice. Since the adaptative firmware, we can't rehearse with the sound guys anymore.
I was using the Still / motion slider to switch from auto to manual to control the fan. It was nice, but now it only opens a menu, it's slower.

Basically, it's the same feature on two different tools. Select two options, and switch from one to the another with a keymap.

There are key actions to toggle the Mode of any of the monitors (between Clean and Overlay). This may work for you. There is also a key action for cycling through the fan modes.

If you can't find the key actions you want you can create multiple presets with the settings you like and map a key to "Apply Preset: xxx" this gives you about as much control as you could possibly want.

is there anyway to set dumb lens data implemented yet?

Just so if I am using a 50mm with a dumb mount I can somehow tell the camera that a 50mm lens in on the camera and that gets into the r3d metadata?

I could see from this ver the support for the Sigma 18-35/1.8. Yesterday I went to a camera shop and mounted that lens on my Epic with Nikon Mount. My main concern was that it will vignette at full wide setting of 18 mm. It did not. But I was not able to control the Aperture at all. It was always open at F1.8. I tried several times to set it to f8 and f16, it always moved back to f1.8. I want to borrow that lens to see how sharp it really is, but the most important thing is the change the aperture.
Have I overseen something? I have now installed v 5.1.38. Could it be, that the support does not work anymore?

The top of the thread should have specified Canon mount for the Sigma 18-35. The Nikon version is on the list of lenses we are working on supporting.

Ok this explains everything... was a bit confusing, since it was listed below the Nikon 105 Micro.
But what does that mean: "* Fix Nikon lenses iris control for unsupported lenses"

Bear in mind that on Dragon 6K, early reports are it WILL vignette until 21mm...

I am trying to download the latest released firmware for Scarlet 5.1.47 and when clicking the download button: Safari can't find the server.

I am logging on a "Firmware only" account, in order to take care of the Scarlet from the University I am working with.

I used my personal (full) account to download the Epic Firmware prior to that and it worked fine. It feels like it is just the Scarlet link that is dead. Anyone experience similar issues?
