Now it correctly sees Tokina 11-16 at f2.8, not at f2.9

Trent, the thing is, I set the adaptive quiet record to 30% while recording and 50 as target temperature. Turn on the camera, it gets to 50 and stay there, everything is normal and fans are running fine.
When I hit record, fans stop making noise cause they are down to 30%, everything is normal.
when I stop recording, I still can't hear the fans and the temperature starts to climb and don't stop. 52, 55, 60, 65 and the fans don't kick in. It will get hot to the point the camera will turn itself off.

And ehm, for us poor documentary filmers in the jungle a way of deleting shots would be much appreciated out in the wild. This mode can always be password protected for big studios so no camera guy deletes shots from Transformer 4 by mistake since they simply wouldn't have the password.

I've always assumed not being able to delete clips has to do with fragmentation and SSD wear. When you only allow a full format of the card you can more precisely control where new data gets written.Totally agree!
Guys, we can delete stuff off any pro dslr camera. Why do you fear that the movie crowd cannot be trusted with that level of responsibility?
Cheers,
Jochen

Hmm... not sure, the fragging is the reason for no delete clip function. As I assume it's very possible to use a computer and card reader and delete one clip folder on a mag and continue to shoot with that mag, or no?
To me that's the workaround, or just get a couple of extra cards and just remove stuff before transfering to backup.

Fantastic that we got the manual fan modes back!

One more vote on that one ! The sound guy can do it on his recorder, we should be able to erase a clip too. Make it a hidden option or something if you think it's too risky, but that could sometimes be a life saver. Plus, I often get strange looks from the director or producer when I say I can't erase the last clip.Dude, I'm with ya on this one Andreas! I would LOVE for Jarred, Trent, Graeme, Biederman and company to allow us to delete clips in camera! Sometimes, when you're low on media, it would be great to have that feature. Like when shooting over-cranked and the talent messes up the shot? Just delete it instead of being forced for that huge amount of data to be sacrificed!
I find my problem is the occasional leaving the camera in record mode ( didn't hit the red button hard enough ) and it nicely fills up the Redmag with useless footage. Laptop is in the hotel room. I'm stuck.

To fix that you would need more than a delete clip option, it sounds like you have usable footage at the beginning of such a clip. So you need trimming in camera, that gets complicated.I find my problem is the occasional leaving the camera in record mode ( didn't hit the red button hard enough ) and it nicely fills up the Redmag with useless footage. I think the user should be able to choose if he wants to take that risk or not. The ability to use such a feature should be activated in a maintenance menu or something, so you only activate it if you know what you're doing, and know the risks.Gotta say, I'm one for not having delete in camera. I think the risk for productions is too high and there are easy work arounds...
