Dragon compression w/512 ssd

Hey guys,

I'm using the older turbo 512's in Dragon. But, the compression ratio is the same as my 128's at any slo-mo frame rate.
Not seeing a slightly lower compression ratio offered in the menu from the 512's. Latest firmware. Hmmm. Any help?

Just a guess, but does the 512 have the latest firmware upgrade

I just realized I don't have Dragon color as a menu option and the menu has blue colored tabs. Also, dragon firmware is currently locked on the site.

The Dragon menu should have red tabs.

I think the red color was introduced in 5.2.n and I don't believe it is limited to Dragon. It defaults to red, but I switch it back to the original color as I prefer it.

Dragon firmware is ready to download. You have to be logged in to download it.

That means RED hasn't changed your status as a Dragon owner yet. Contact your rep and have him give you access...

hmm. Compression is still no different when using the turbo 512's or 128's. I was expecting a drop by a few points by using the 512's in maxed slo-mo mode. firmware is current.

Have you looked at the compression ratios in the latest media guide? It will tell you what can be done. The tables start on page 56. For example 6k WS is 17:1 on 128 GB, 15:1 on 1.8" 512 GB, and 14:1 on mini-mag 512 GB.

Do you happen to have look around enabled? If so you won't get full potential.

Are you running the latest SSD firmware as well? They have a firmware update for the 1.8" 512 GB SSD on the download page. It is from 4/10.
