  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Yes Mark, and guess what? Shot on one of your favorite lenses, (well mine too since it came out actually, but what a difference using it on Epic vs. my old 1DsII... ;)

BTW... the RED Projector is capable of 4k 3D at 120fps simultaneous each eye.

4K in the home is now. God love those that mastered in 1080P.

Its interesting watching all the 4K stuff coming out now, especially the 4K in the home stuff.

Cannot wait for the RED Projector. Being able to grade in 4K, on a big screen, at home is going to be so amazing.

Again, thanks Jim & Jarred for sharing this, even if its just a tip of the iceberg!!!

Just got back from Palau where I shot several hours of underwater footage with the Canon 1Dc. Very interesting results when viewed in a pro-colorist suite. Sure do wish you guys would ship Dragon sooner rather than later. Could use the DR and ISO bump now.

Not only you there at RDC, but we are all nuts. Since the very first days of to-be-developed Red One. But in a very positive way. All this is simply wonderful!

Hey Alex.. Its actually not the sensor, it's just a simple file processing math error. You can actually see it on the first one as well in random places. We are still using the engineering debayer tools until Graeme and Rob get all the code sorted and put into RCX.
 
Jim - if you haven't already please let Doug Trumbull know about the 4K 3D 120 each eye projection. He has big things on the horizon and I'm sure would be elated to hear it from you first!!! ;)

It should be mentioned that this looks absolutely stunning for 2000 ASA. I haven't seen anything like this yet. Very exciting.
