DJI RONIN PRO SUPPORT

Well Jake,

they are not just simple pieces of metal. We were the first to make them, so we spent many hours to determine the optimum length and design they should be. Also we wanted a nice clean design that kept the factory look. each part goes thru 4 machining operations, de-burring and then a anodizing process. All this takes time and time is money. The tolerances have to be tight. If alignment is not kept then the gimbal cradle will bind and seriously affect performance.

They are designed by myself you can call me anytime if you have any questions or problems 310.592.8450. They are made right here in Los Angeles. This enables us to respond quickly to any design changes, customer feedback and maintain quality. I love the fact that I created some jobs in my city and country. I am proud that all my products are made in the USA by 2 immigrants (I'm Brazilian and my machinist is Austrian both of us now proud citizens).

We care about our customers and despite being a micro company and still doing my "day job" as a steadicam operator, we do our best to provide great customer service. I might not always answer my phone (as I might be on set) but I do my best to get any issues resolved quickly.

I've been in this business for a long time, and because of the critical nature of production work my money always goes to companies with the best product and that provide the best service, that are there to answer the phone and ship something out to me...... not the ones with the best price. Companies that continue to innovate. I love to support creativity.

Certainly, there are many options out there in the world and everyone will shop with different criteria..... so think carefully and be careful as you might spend a dollar to pick up a penny.

....and yes they do work perfect with PAG batteries as the PAG's have the angled shape on the edges.....gives prefect clearance so you can clear the pan motor. Here it is with the PAG's, Ultra Primes and a LMB5 mattebox.

+1

I totally piss off the company who copy cinemilled. Its a true genius to do this extensions. They match perfectly with the ronin, we bought 2 for our ronins and its so perfect. Cinemilled discover the best solution for this so don't looking only the metal cost .

Without them , we need to open the motor and probably kill our 2 ronin. I dislike this kind of comment , cinemilled did a great job and need to be paid for this.

So easy to come after and said we are the Best for less cost

Thanks for the support guys,

I have to note they do not seam to have a contact/support email, phone number or any customer support I can see anyway.

I for one doubt they are made in Canada. My guess is that they are made overseas, and whoever it is, they are just importing them. Our products also now have copy cats in Germany and Russia.

They say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I guess that means we are doing something right. It's expected and there is not much we can do against overseas copycats.

Except one thing.

Continue to INNOVATE, make solid product and back it up with great customer service and support.

We are in the final stages of testing of our highly awaited pan bar extension. We are testing a few sizes to make sure we maximize every mm. Which is critical in the pan bar.

I hope to have them for sale in the next week.

We are also testing the ultimate "ISO vehicle mount". Not going to be cheap but it is going to make every ronin rival a $300k Ultimate arm.

We are also fabricating our prototype "PRO" Dovetail......and a few more awesome must have accessories for Ronin users....

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all! Guess what I am doing today besides opening a few presents?........shipping. Like I said.....they are in stock and ship same day!

This one if from a customer.....posted yesterday on ours and his instagram feeds.

I have waited to se someting like the ultimate arm for gimballs. Will it be a whole new carane arm or something you use with your existing crane arm?

Hello,
I just want to clarify something, we from droneparts.de have not copied from Petro (cinemilled) ;-) The arm extensions and Universal Mount, we have developed simultaneously. We have made a stress test on 2014-09-11 , but to get perfect series production it takes a lot of time. (Petro was faster and has presented the first. He also present and support very well!) We do not have a CNC milling machine as Petro, but let also regionally finished ... there is no mass production and we want to give our Ronin customers the possibility to buy the thinks direct in germany, at one shop.

We are also pursuing similar goals like Petro and want to offer perfect and innovative extensions for the Ronin. We do not want to sell immature prototypes at dumping prices, like cncfilmgear :/ We calculate prices just right and can only be slightly cheaper, because we make less advertising and marketing...

We develop our extensions yourself and be inspired by DJI Ronin design and get a lot of input and ideas from our customers, where we gratefully accept and try to implement.

The market is big enough for all, everyone should try to develop their own and other innovative products and not to copy pointless.

btw. we have already a "pan axis extension" on the market (but currently out of stock) That Petro will also offer a Pan Extension, is close to, but I would never say thats a copy of our pan extension...
Some extensions are obvious and are recognized and developed by several.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Best regards

Pedro,
Will your extensions allow use of Red Bricks? I've seen quite a few pics of the arms but I'm not sure I've ever seen one with a brick battery on the back. Thanks!

Hi,

Yes no problem.

While the Red Bricks are tall, they clear the back with ease but the pan motor limits your tilt down.

We about about to annouce our pan axis estensions. If you install those you should be able to clear also on til down so you can look straight down. Also will have more adjustment for balancing the pan axis.

Here are some pics I took during testing with our prototypes (that's why they are not anodized.)

As you can see plenty of clearance.

Actually yesterday while testing my new pan extensions(looking dead sexy btw) at Radiant images here in LA I tried an even more extreme setup.

I used a "thick" battery adaptor/powerdistrbution from another manufacturer and a red brick......it was super close but it still cleared!

You can see how much more length that battery adaptor takes up.

We are making a few small design modification on the pan extension but should be available to order in a few days I hope!!

Can someone please give me an idea (website links would be helpful)
on how to run power to my red by mounting a Vmount on the handlebars?? How would info about doing this.. P/Dtap cable? How would the battery mount on the handlebars.. I know ive seen people do it..
beem thinking about arm extensions for a red brick, but feel like it would wear out the motors faster, because of the added stress.
ronin is in the mail next week and need to figure out what I'm going to do

Hey guys,
just got the notification that the ANDROID APP is available on the Google Play Store! Now the Ronin is truly universal, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android. If you have any questions or concerns with your Ronin, our DJI Pro Support team in Hollywood is here to help:

As you saw from the install video it really is a pain in the butt and it takes soooo long. The extensions are the way to go 10min install or removal and honestly the DJI arms are really too long for most situations and really decrease the performance. Which is why we made our Cinemilled extensions even smaller than the "b". "B" DJI arms are 50mm longer.....our Extensions are 40mm we found that this is really the ideal extension length. This gives you just enough length to do what most of us want to do and doesnt push the design or motor strength o where they start to loose a lot of performance.

In the end, watch the cinemilled vs. DJI arms video ....then the DJI install video for the long arms.........make you own conclusions and decisions.

oh yeah....fits just fine in the stock case with no mods.

Also they are listed as backordered on our site at the moment.....but we just finished working thru the weekend and they will be back in STOCK and shipping on Tuesday!!

Pedro, with your arm extensions do you see any need to have Movi Battery Side Mount for Epic? Or do the extensions take care of what the side mount solves?

Thanks

I can confirm that the PG Link battery, WC battery adapter plate, with super speeds and the Cinemilled arms worked just great on a music video shoot, with an operator that had no difficulty balancing and using that configuration for a 10 hour shoot.,

Thank you very much

Fury

Does anyone see the need for Freefly Side Battery Mount if you have extensions? Does it help balance with longer / heavier rigs?

So does anyone see the need for Freefly Side Battery Mount if you have extensions? Basically, I'm waiting for my extensions and wondering if I should get rid of my Freefly plate if I have no use for it.

During testing (all products are anodized black) ULTRA Prime, arri mattebox....good clearance. Makes it easy to balance your top/bottom balance, because you can tilt straight up.

The shorter version handles this with no problems.
