  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DJI RONIN PRO SUPPORT

Question wouldn't it be better to make a version 2 with everything added because its a great idea. Sooner or later you will need to update the motors due to the extra weight so everything will run smooth. If that's decided can they add a steady cam setup for the cheap kind that doesn't come with the long part that has a hole in it? without that part how can I mount it to my fly cam.

I just take one if the inserts out of the case and it fits perfectly inside a suitcase.. then clothes on top
 
Just a quick heads up - if you are experiencing connection issues to the iOS app and you have the new iPhone 6/6+ and/or are running the iOS 8 - just switch your phone to "airplane" mode and only enable Bluetooth. This is a temporary work around until Apple can address this issue...

I didn't have any problems with the case on my flight, took out the batteries and carried them with me. But I'll do a similar setup like yours next time I fly..

by the way has anyone tried the new update?

Thanks Peter, I didn't want to mess with the firmware while our Ronin was working great ;)
 
Is there anything special I have to do to apply this firmware update? The DJI support page says there should be a firmware version 2.2 available via the current version of the DJI software and I have 2.1 on the gimbal but when I try to upgrade, the software says there is no update for download...
 
Few folks have reported this issue. Please post what computer, OS, Assistant version and DJI driver version are you using so we can narrow this down. For what is worth I have a cheapo ASUS laptop with WIN8 (that I got just for DJI assistant softwares) and it is working fine without any issues...

Hi All - other than using the inserts in a suitcase, has anyone else come up with a smaller (but still protective) transportation solution? I don't need/want to keep it built, but I would be very happy with a semi-rigid/soft bag option.
 
Tried it on a trashcan MacPro with MacOS 10.9.5 and an old MacPro 4.1 booted into Windows 7 with all the latest updates. Same problem on both. Current 2.4 assistant software version.

Hi Peter,

I'm running a desktop with Windows 7 and Ronin Assistant v1.4
I re-installed the Windows drivers as a last ditch effort, but assistant still indicates that the IMU v2.1 has no upgrade available.

Please try to redownload the Ronin Assistant 1.4. We've also just released a v2.3 firmware fixing an issue with tilt SmoothTrack.
 
I'm experiencing an issue with the quick release mount of my top handle bar.
It can't be fully locked with the knob and shows some play except if I screw it like a mad man with the allen key but I have the feeling this is not normal and that one day it will end up breaking.
Anyone has the same problem?
 
Hello. I just purchased the 80 mm XL arms through 1uas.com. Was wondering if you will be releasing a how to install video or PDF soon? Or do I need to send my ronin in to pro support for a factory install? i'd love to install these babies myself but don't want to do it blind. I'd hate to break my ronin.
