  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Thanks Willis, much appreciated, though your presence could have been earlier. Now we sure there will be serious CS. Back on track......GB pricing / accessories pls :)

@Ned, can you verify the name of your DP? I have 1 prototype Ronin running around set to set here in the US. However we have not delivered any beta or production units to potential owners yet

Btw whats the estimated shipping time? Cant see any timeframe in entire thread.Hope this wont be like Besteady :) well at least they recently provided some dates

Yon Thomas is a good friend of mine, I used to DIT for him all the time for LA jobs. Yon is also the DP for the 1-shot short we did for the Ronin that launched at NAB. He has my support, but no, we did not send him a Ronin.

The factories are cranking away, wish there were pictures I can show. We should have an official price within 2 weeks. Yes, it will still be under $5,000US.

Timeline-
We are still on schedule for end of June delivery. What this means is that the dealer(s) will receive the kits at or right before June 30th, 2014. Sales logistics will be announced very shortly, Sales Department in HQ is in the final approval processes.

2x 12v p-tap regulated ports breakout from the Ronin battery.

I've requested that Willis Chung take over the job of providing product/sales updates to you all since he works directly for DJI and has the best information and authority to release it. I won't have anything of substance to add to this discussion until I receive the promised Beta unit for testing. From what I understand it will be more like a 99% complete production unit than a Beta so will be very close to what you can expect in shipment.

I know DJI is still working on the sales channel logistics. It would follow that AMP would be the major supplier on this Group Buy but I haven't seen anything official from DJI HQ on this. Willis will update you when that information is available.

My initial goal in creating this Group Buy was to provide you guys a great deal on what seemed to be the most exciting product at NAB and to represent the best interest of RU's. Since then this has developed into perhaps the largest Group Buy in RU history and I was able to secure you the first production units in the USA. I learned some tricks to working SEO with my viral video which I will use in future commercial projects.

It continues to be a fun ride - hope that DJI and their dealer network brings this deal home with happiness for all

Hi Willis,

Will the group buy package be a full kit with extra RED connector cables? looking for something simmilar to what BeSteady offered in their group buy.

Also, will the group buy price be lower than the standard price tag?

Many of us are curious to know this, thank you in advance!
