  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

There was no big news just re-confirmations of things mostly. You didn't miss out.
DJI is still locking down the final product version. They are only couple protoypes in the world.
It may be out by Q2 which to me meant June at the earliest..but that's still not known.
It did come across that DJI are very committed to see this group buy thing come through.
 
Overall, this session did it's job to confirm and answer some of the burning technical questions about this product. They are passionate about this product and really trying to implement any features to make our life easier. Some things I took away from this session is as followed:

- Joystick will have a new feature of pressing down to change modes (follow, fast follow, remote operate, regular thumb control).
- Universal mount is in the works. No pictures as of yet but was told it would fit jibs, cable cams and Steadicam systems.
- Motor is much stronger than what was shown at NAB (yay!) so will be able to fly a "properly" kitted out camera system.
- Cradle arm will be modular to allow maximum adaptability to short/long cameras and will have options for length depending on your need (think their S800 octo prop arms)
- They are trying to develop the programming to allow the camera cradle to sit right side up while the whole rig is mounted in an upside down mode (think steadicam sled or remote RC chase car).

You got it Zeb! Thanks to you for organizing this and getting us involved. It is great for a company to go into a design process so openly and cater to the needs of the industry professionals.
 
Zeb this might be a silly question but just in case..Someone asked about updated list of buyers that we could check are we in or not...So did you count me and the others in when we posted "count me in" or do you really accept only a word "interested" Why don't you post it so we can see it?

Hi Guys - I need to get a longer lcd cable for a rig i'm building. What size do you recommend so that it will be good for the ronin as well? Thanks. There is one used in the aerial media pros video. Is that the 12 inch?
