  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Glad to see the production momentum picking up. Can't wait for March... perhaps there will be a miracle and my camera will get pushed out the door in February... lol. O' sweet 1888... we are waiting on you.
 
I'm just going to bring $29,500 worth of quarters down to RED HQ and avoid this whole 'waiting for money' problem.. I'll be towing it actually..

We've got our FedEx tracking numbers and we're 291- so I think it's safe to say they could all ship- so don't give up hope on having it for the new year if your in this batch.

Damn man, I'm surprised you didn't just drive down. It's only 5 hours one way. I'm envious of you either way..
 
Can we have an ETA for the next batch and how many cameras will it be ?

for past 1 1/2 year i had been planning to pick it up in person BUT it was not in the shipping options i was given on friday .... so i'll get it Monday sooner then the flight i had made to pick it up on wednesday !!!

So for those of you who have their cameras already- have you tried out the new feature (sound)? How do you get the sound out, does Red Alert or Redcine export a WAV for you from the R3D? Does it show up already as a separate file on the CF card?
 
Since I am 327.. I am getting the feeling my camera is going to ship a little quicker than I thought! Not so sure it will be the end of Jan as I had figured..

Yes, some good info there (sound is inside R3D, and available only via quicktime so far). I was just trying to get Tonaci's feedback, since he posted here today. He teased us several days ago with photos of his newly-arrived Red #102 http://redmodz.com/component/content/article/1-latest-news/60-red-102-has-landed
but to my knowledge, so far he has not said a word about operating it. Of course we've had other reports from other people, but he is apparently the first one to take delivery of the new body.

REDCINE and RED ALERT do not have any audio features yet. For now you'll have to work with the QuickTime files. Keep in mind that the audio feature is a beta implementation....
