As we go into our holiday break I thought it would be good to get out another update before everyone took off.
Just a reminder RED will be closed from December 24th ( tomorrow ) to January 3rd.
For new Carbon Weapon orders, we haven't completely caught up just yet, but are very very very close. We are now shipping in 3-5 Days for brand new camera orders.
For those of you upgraders, First for all of you that have already had the upgrade completed in the last few weeks thank you for stepping up your game and getting your cameras in in record time after being notified. It really helps pick up the pace and help get onto the next round and lower the wait for everyone else.
For you upgraders patiently waiting to be notified, we are blasting out another large blast for upgrades tonight as we speak.
We are very confident that we will have notified all Carbon Upgrade owners by January 27th, at which time we will jump right into the Magnesium upgrades.
Raven and Scarlet-W orders we are still on track for deliveries starting in March.
For Monochrome Scarlet-Ws, We have a small production batch of Monochrome sensors coming out of the oven right after we get back from break. If those fire up without issue there is a very good chance we may actually start shipping those at the end of January. If you are thinking about jumping on one of those and want to be in that first group you should get your order in before we get back from break as there are only a few spots left in that first batch.
The DSMC2 EVF is starting to ship... Just sent out a few to RVZ in France and will continue to ship after we get back from the break and ramp up in production.
We also made a couple custom SDI versions of the Jetpack for the Shotover guys.. I posted a little sneak of that on Facebook and I had a pretty big response for us to make more... now would be a good time to put your hand up for those if you want.
Mark has been letting me take a behind the scenes peek at his OMODs as he steps through production and those things are going to be must haves for a lot of people. Lots of great 3rd parties have joined the 3rd party program ( including some companies you will be very surprised to hear making stuff for our cameras ) So it will be an interesting year next year with great pieces coming from great places.
8K Weapons are slowly coming out of the oven. The first ones have gone to someone you all know for a really big show that I can't talk about yet. I know that a lot of you are excited about that one and it is a super hard one to wait for, but it is like making really good Whiskey.. gotta take the proper amount of time with those sensors. 8K is a waiting game. I gotta repeat that.. 8k is a waiting game. You will see weeks between each name on the waiting list until the process speeds up.
O and while we are talking about slow but worth the wait... the new side handle is not shipping soon.. but it is so fucking awesome. I should have some prototypes next month to finally start playing with and I am pretty sure I won't be able to keep it to myself for very long.
