December 1st Dragon Sensor upgrade price increase reminder

We have officially notified everyone who is eligible for the upgrade but we keep getting emails from people who missed the upgrade notice so here is just a little reminder that come December 1st upgrades to the Dragon sensor increase an additional $3000. We will blast out another email next week, I just want to double down on the communication to make sure nobody is caught surprised by the price increase.

We also are ramping up production to meet the overwhelming demand of the new 7" Touch display, I know there was a bit of a monitor shipping gap there for some people so we are doing our best to get as many out as we can, thanks for your patience.

Also alot of you have made the upgrade to the changeable OLPF and the feedback has been great, I am glad everyone seems to be wrapping their head around the concept and lots of cool things coming down the road with that program.

Fingers crossed we hear news about future of MX line too, and if any possible price adjustments there also!

I'm personally a HUGE FAN of the MX line, and hope RED continues to support and invest in it...as a succestful "primer/intro" into the RED ecosystem, whether at the Scarlet or Epic "level".

My rep made it sound like you needed to send in the camera by the 1st as well. if I can just pay for it, that makes a bit of a difference....I have a lot of shoots between now and then.

for now? it would be bummer for a paying upgrade to dragon and see price decrease on camera bodies in next year.

Thats what my bomb-squad told me, trade-ins are untouched. Hope this includes the Scarlet-MX to EPIC-X/Dragon path too.

Not sure what i'll do, wanted to go for Scarlet-X/Dragon, but it doesn't fit into my plans right now. And lets be honest, 3000USD more will make that path nearly obsolete, especially if you are going to add armor. I'm not complaining, just thinking out loud.

Anyway, a special thanks to Kristin for making me aware of the situation and RED/Jarred for double-checking on this. Thats really a great move, more than just fair.
