  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DEAR RED,

please make this a priority, i know you are very busy with the dragon but you would make so so so many people happy with this little update

xx suresh

Not that this helps much, but I read something the other day that it's actually done in camera, ready to go, they are just trying to match up the SDK to read/interpret that info so in post, it's not a problem.

Flip is actually already in the camera code... just can't enable it till the post tools and SDK get updated to support it, which is incredibly more difficult and time consuming to implement than it sounds like it would be.

I thought they added this feature a while back. Was that the "flip" that was added, just not a "flop" yet? Can anyone clarify. I remember the release notes for the update clearly had something.

Screw recording it flipped and flopped, just make the monitor behave like any high end monitor has been able to do for 10 years and flip the image when you press a button so you can hang the monitor upside down.

I thought so too?!?

Are there any monitor options that handle all the "flipping" and "flopping" in the monitor itself?

My 5" LCD isn't sharp enough or large enough to pull focus as accurately as I'd like. Even with focus assist ON.

Get the 9" RED Touch. hehe LOVE IT.

I think we'll see the flip option sometime next year.
