  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DAVINCI RESOLVE and ***HACKINTOSH***

I have managed to install 10.7.3 in Z800 with no problem. GFX (EFiStrings) 9800GT + GTX590 same slots as Luigi. I have the same problem as him.

I'm trying to configure Davinci, Luigi could you post your DEBUG lines, because i can't get work both cards.

Hey guys, Nvidia posted special drivers today you may want to try:

Numerically OLDER than current ones I think, but no longer need to add GTX5xx id's to make them work. (Has a "wildcard" driver match)

Can you show the "Performance" tab from the GTX590?

Would be nice to know how they are doing.
 
Thanks for the heads up on the new 10.7.3 driver Dave! Nice of Nvidia to release a brand new driver dated 2-27-2012 with a version number of 270.00.00f01 when the older existing driver included in Lion is version 270.05.20f02. Makes it very convenient to figure out if you have the latest greatest installed or not. Not!

yeeeeee NIVIDA is big go go eheh have finally enabled the 2 gpu on one pcb :) :) hehe you like.

The only problem is i can't get audio work, and I can't install media composer

And big thanks to Luigi, to give us a reason to think different

Yes right Cesar(Carlos).. this is a little problem ///conflict whit gtx///, but is strange you have problem whit media composer 6 .
But if you have blackmagix use this for audio ;)

I love Nvidia guys with the new driver. Luigi this is for you too. I have been at the hospital last night. But this morning a ihad a brilliant idea. And now it works. Nvidia has made the impossible. Now i'm running my Asus Extreme IV i7. With Nvidia 8400GS and Nvidia 590 without EFI strings or DSDT inject Video. Two cards in the same system without Child and Parent. I think this is great.

I can't check in the Z800 because is working. I have to wait that you check in your machine and see if the audio works now with the new driver.

I hope you are fine.

I believe that without the first injection on hp z800 not working, I will try 'to return home Sunday.
If you have time do the tests and let me know. For the audio sucks even on windows so I would say not to use it.
It would be nice to put 2 gtx 590, gpu do;) 4 + 1 RR 1 gt ati 5770 or 9800 for gui and 3D BM.
An infernal machine air heheh :scared:

I will be hakintoshing this weekend with the AMD Bulldozer 8 core processor and GTX 560 Ti. I will post my results as well. If this works, I am looking to build a 64 core system for under 6K.
 
Wow!!! GeForce 590 running with the new drivers from nvidia ( full cuda and open cl )
have two of em here - any ideas to get both running on one system ( sorry its a gigabyte board )

try
install 10.7.3, put nvidia in slot whitout efi or dsdt patch, and cross the finger:)
