  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Crazy steadicam

It beats the hell out of me, how did he steer the segway for that length of time and that speed, at the same time as holiding the camera, amazing work. !

I am pretty sure he used one of these: Handsfree Transporter

Looking somewhat like this:

We own HandsFree transporter , and trust me this shoot is crazy ,
because it is very difficult and crazy to jump out from handsfree
with no stop . Main secret in HandsFree is that you can not step out
from Handsfree back , you need to always step out forward.
It is easy when you stop and then step out , but this one is crazy shoot.
Now i am planing to ask my Steadycam operator to do something same :) .

Fantastic shot! It's hard getting out of the handsfree that fast, I wonder if his was modified for that....

Standard Handsfree can do it :) sow you do not need to modified it. But not every steadycam operators can do it :) .
Also as i understand it was special shoot that Petr Elfimov order for Eurovision . In his music video in some shoots looks like they are using same system .

I think he means see the jump onto the stage clearly on the YouTube video. The view is obscured when he makes the switch and it's hard to see. The camera is also a bit "jumpy" right before the switch.

He stops just exactly before long ramp to stage and some dude is catching Segway, maybe even he helps him stabilze a bit during jump off.

seriously crazy. i am in love. Probably one of my favorite shots ever, especially for a live performance!

Mental. The op is a true ninja. The dismount to stage is nuts... and LIVE... double nuts...

such a great shot for such a hilariously crappy performance...

Risking even minor injury for such awful music is ridiculous!

LOL, exactly. It is a great shot though. I don't really like the zooms he incorporated though, he did a good job with them, but maybe better without.

Very cool shot. He had to do the zooms to avoid his shadow. This shot makes me wonder and wish for a dummy red camera with a little consumer camera built in that you could use to practice crazy shots with..... Does something like that exist?
