  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I wasn't referring to the Jew's defending themselves as much as the assertion of power gained by a small group of people over the relatively moral masses in general, Jew and German alike

Not to get into a political debate, but those who spout "gun control", even people who live in the USA, are fairly naive. No way to control something of which there are over 150 million of, most untraceable. There are already tons of laws in place and it is illegal to carry a gun in most places unless it is properly disassembled and/or disarmed, in a locked case and the owner/carrier has a proper government issued permit. As "gun control" laws continuously get piled on top of existing laws (often just new ways to re-state the current laws or associated punishments), all it does is make it harder for good, law-obiding citizens to purchase firearms. Even if possession of a handgun was suddenly made punishable by death, I doubt that would have much impact on the criminal element. Even if all legal gun sales were stopped overnight and all US gun manufacturers shut down today, what becomes of the over 150 million firearms already in place? You actually think that people are going to just hand them over? I wouldn't, because I know that not everyone else will, besides I have the freedom in this country to own one.

So until someone actually can provide a solution that removes all guns from the hands of known and potential criminals while still allowing me to have one to protect my family and home, the discussion is moot. There isn't even anything to argue about, it's just the way things are. People campaigning around for "gun control" would be akin to people campaigning for the prohibition of grey hair.

Hey Martin,

thanks and tryng to not let this post become just that a debate.

I have taken some time before posting about wath appened to me, I dint' want to at first, for selfish reasons, I did not wanted to ansewr questions about the event and have to remember the event over and over.

But after days of not slipping and continuosly being reminded in my mind, I decided to warn others so they could prevent this from appening to them.

Filling your life completely in the hands of on other persone is very hard to describe, basically you truelly see your life at the end of the road.

Any ways thanks again for your care, I'm sure every post here is only in good intent just that each one of as has opinions and at times vearing off is very easy as a single different element is broad in to play.

Good luck with your recovery Ketch. You're very lucky to still be with us. It looks like you've survived a few other difficulties. And now this one as well. You must be a cat with 9 lives. Start keeping a low profile though...we don't know which life you may be on now!

Hehe... Still a fair analogy though, but the '40s Germany reference probably wasn't the best. Throughout history, the disbanding of civilian protective groups and suppression of arms has always proven problematic. Hence the reason why the USA was founded with the explicit intention of allowing the civilian populace to hold arms and form militias.

The control of guns and civilian arms was a hotly debated topic even with the first continental congress sessions at the founding of our nation. And I think Benjamin Franklin said it best when addressing the conference on Feb. 17, 1775 -- "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Thanks, I wanted to post a warning for others but this is also helping me tremendously, you guys ar great fellows and your support is most needed and welcome.

Most definatelly I will get a second opinion as soon as I get Back home in Italy as I have to do all the yearly exams for my transplant and up coming knee Tatanium inplant.

Thanks, Lucky I think is understated at this point when considering that I'm mow in my fifth live, so I guess I have four more to go.

I think a tazer and a Louisville Slugger can get the point across without killing someone.
I don't own a gun, because I'm afraid my wife will use it on me. hehehe.

As far as gun control, in Washington DC it's illegal to own a handgun, and it doesn't stop the criiminals at all.
They know they can go into just about any home without fear of being shot back at.
If the person living there defends themselves with a gun, they get prosecuted and can go
to jail.

On the other hand, do you really plan on walking around fully armed every where you go?
It's just as likely if a murderer comes at you through the front door, you won't get to your gun
on time.

No easy answers.

Got that right, zeke. I would also say that a tazer and bat would be just as leathal -- one clean blow with a louisville slugger could easily mean death or severe brain damage to the recipient.

Anyway, I think we've hijacked this thread enough.

Once again, Ketch, glad you're still with us. Hopefully you're recovering well.
