  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Control...

What I would like to know is how much weight a decent setup would weigh for steadicam applications. (among a number of other things I'd like to know) :001_cool:

Ok...night night.

Fantastic news.

Just one question. Is the release date that will be announced next month "Subject to change"?

Bloody typical.
I was checking out other cameras today.
A body can only wait just so long.

Fixed lens Scarlet still on the cards or has the simpler option of removable len's taken over the Scarlet design???
Seriously Red, money in the pocket waiting for an excuse to buy something.
Good things come to those who wait .
3k scarlet is a must !
It's all going to get a bit hectic during release,

It's not refered to as "Supply & Demand" anymore ...It's "Onslaught & Aftermath". - A Prelude to Monstrosity

It looks like it could be a little tricky connecting and disconnecting BNC connectors in that small space. Any chance it could be slightly larger so you can get your fingers in?

This is going to be so incredibly amazing, I am ready and eager to get my Epic whenever it is ready!

True Revolution on the card with Epic and Scarlet.

Red is democratising the future of Digital Cinema Cameras.

Details of the release schedule for EPIC and Scarlet coming sometime in October. We are taking our time so you won't be disappointed.

Jim

Thank you Jim. That's all I needed. Now I know what month to focus all my energy on.

P.S. Everything looks SO slick. Kudos to you Jarred, Graeme and the crew. Canon and Nikkon must be pooping bricks right about now.

Looks all fantastic! Are there any news on the fixed lens? As it has not been mentioned by RED for a while I am anxious that it is way back in the release schedule... so can you throw us a bone or two?

Seems to be a costumized shoulder mount with attached RED-AC™. RED-AC™ is an additional temperature control unit. It´s slightly comparable to a liquidcooler on pc´s. With RED-AC™ EPIC/SCARLET are usable between -50°C until + 70°C. RED-AC™ also enables internal REDMOTE™-controlled overclocking of cmos as well as asic. Higer framerates up 500 f/s in 5k are possible with RED-AC™. You will need to have two dual cf or 2 redmag modules attached in raidmote for beeing able to capture these higher framerates.
RED-AC™ renders fans obsolete and makes EPIC/SCARLET absolutely inaudible.

ok guys, sorry, just brainstorming ;-)

Seeing this makes me hope:

1) Connection between modules is ROCK solid

2) I can get my fingers in there to tighen and loosen those BNCs

3) The buttons aren't as flaky as they are on the RED ONE and EVF. Please make the buttons nice and smooth as on a Canon. The buttons on the unit that was on show at IBC were really sloppy compared to those on my 30D.

Crossing my fingers. The

saving up....
