  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

chromatic aberration

The Ang. 16-44 is the fastest zoom I know of a T-1.6 I believe, covers super 16, so might cover 3k, pretty small and light too.

If you don't "care" about image quality or format, why in the world did you buy this camera? There are lots of very fine cameras out there shooting HD that could (and can) go to a film out that don't have the persnickity work flow issues that Red does and are smaller and easier to use.

I'm using Red for lots of projects =]

Are the B4 Fujinon zooms in this category of mediocre lenses? I notice a lot of CA on the F900.

P

I would never use a B4 lens on RED.

1. The B4 adaptor cuts one stop of the already not so high sensitivity down to approx. 160 ASA.

2. The extra glas in the adaptor does not make the lens better, on the contrary.

3. The adaptor reduces field of view.

4. All HD Fujinon ENG zooms I have seen on a F900 had a noticable amount of CA especially the wideagle zooms.

5. Canon HD ENG zooms had less CA. Cinestyle zooms even lesser. Nice lenses for HDCAM.
