  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED in scandinavia

Hey Mikko,

When I get to Scandinavia in the Spring I'll come to Helsinki so you and Martin can look over my RED camera system. I'll probably take a ferrie from Stockholm.

Cheers!

Unfortunatly I probabaly won't be here.

I'm headed to Alaska on Jan 18th for an un-decided amount of time.

... Though you are quite welcome up in Ak too :)

- Mikko

Hej Mikko & Gibby,

sound's good - just give me a call whenever you're around here...!

..i wonder how the red-cam manages a cosy sauna eve... ;)

Mikko - You'll like Alaska! I've shot throughout most of the panhandle and Inside Passage (Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Sitka, etc.). I have friends in British Columbia that want us to visit soon. If we get up that way, we may take a ferrie into Alaska. Alaska looks a lot like Norway! Good luck on your journey. PM me when you know when you'll be back in Helsinki. The definite dates for our Scandinavia trip have not been set - it will depend on when I get #8. If you happen to be in Helsinki then, I'd be happy to meet up with you.

Martin - even if Mikko isn't able to be there, we'll still come to Helsinki. I've been there but my wife hasn't.

Ouch. I pity the fool who has to make Ketchikan look nice. :p

I went to High School in Juneau and have been back just about every summer since.

And yes, Norway is (almost as) beautifull too.

- Mikko ... is looking forwards to seeing RED in Juneau.

True..if you could ever get it to stop drizzling in Ketchikan...and keep the drunks out of your shots!

Juneau area is amazingly beautiful...tons to shoot.

I directed and shot a series of commercials for Alaskan Cable Network in the late-90's. Fun stuff!

Reykjavik, Iceland - three REDs that I know of and four total in the country.
I beleve we hold the world record per capita :)
Gibby - you are welcome to drop by of course - it’s on your way from the US!

Thanks OliRogg...we'll try our best to get there! I've always wanted to visit Iceland and never been there. I've visited 65 countries in my life so far...

That's way cool about 4 RED cameras in Iceland.

Happy New Year to you!

Gibby -you really should check it out - if you like nature you won't be disappointed!
Happy new year - I beleve you are living in 2006 at this moment and I in 2007

Very cool...nature programs and nature stock footage are some of my favorite things to shoot. Looking forward to it!

Yeah...in California it's only 8:15pm. I must be a dedicated REDhead hanging out on REDUser on New Years Eve!

Cheers...

Sælir drengir, (lets have this in english...:D) I have a reservation for red as well. I dont know how many cameras are going to be in Iceland but I know that there are at least 4 of them. Dont know if you are the other 3.

Just placed my order :p So there is atleast eight Reds going to Stockholm that I know of now.

/Regards Peter K

How many are we in Norway then?

I've come to 5

Gunleik

me, you, Kjetil Haugen, helgetjelta, jacob hultgren, zuvis

That is six, or am I missing anything... it´s not unlikely that there are more, reserved by people who don´t frequent this forum.

I am sure a lot of people and the major rental places will start ordering their REDs when they realise what it is...
