  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Changing the world...

There is no denying that RED injected a heart-stopping shock through this slumbering industry with the introduction of RED ONE and REDCODE. I sat on the side lines watching this tidal wave gather momentum. Since then, I have taken a leap of faith and joined the revolution. The future is unwritten, but it sure feels more exciting with the view from up here.

Let's do it. There are better ways to do things than are being done now. Camera's are a tool to shine a bright light on the better way. We now have the bright light. Truth matters. I just read about a chinese woman who was thrown into a shadow jail that officially does not exist. She took a Washington Post reporter there. When asked if she was afraid when she confronted her prisoners she said (I paraphrase here), "not at all. They are the ones that have to be afraid. What they are doing is illegal, it can not stand up to the light of day." She is my hero and my inspiration. There are people in power that have nearly unlimited resources to manipulate the population and system so that people think it is acceptable that so few have so much. But if we stand together and demand a fair and level playing field then we can have a world where talent, creative thinking, and hard work can rightly rise to the top. Success should not be who you now, but what you know. Look at any successful society, one that creates real wealth, it the most successful ones tap into talent regardless of class, or race. In can be a new day, but only if we insist on it. Stick it to the man, he fears chance.

the recent pricing announcement was a huge move. It's admiral and a hell of a jolt to other folks making picture boxes. For us image makers though it's just an incredible time. Really exciting times on the horizon too.

I appreciate it. The Alexa, The F65, The F55, The F5, and even the Black Magic Camera, all products of that were driven because of competition from RED. None of them would have existed if you didn't build your camera, and pro cameras would cost in the $100,000's. Now I get to hold and shoot with one of the best cameras in the world. Thank you Jim, and your team at RED for putting it into my hands.

Brilliant just brilliant ...buying a camera has never been this fun. Never a dull moment with RED.
"Change the world" indeed - first late Steve Jobs now JJ... LOL How about some RED Shops around the world too?? I would love to open one in my neck of the woods!!

Red is a shining example of how free market capitalism works at its best. Jim and the whole Red team treat the customer fairly and with respect while working hard to compromise as little as possible to creating products that best meets their customer's needs and means. It is a wonderful counterpoint to the crony capitalists that would rather buy regulations, subsidies and trade barriers to keep afloat - then bailouts if that fails.

We sure as hell know you didn't get into this for fame or fortune. Keep spurring their hides, Jim. ( :

Always thought of RED being an enabler for world change, which of course, if true, means that you are in fact changing the world. Sort of a chicken, egg, sperm thing.

Thank you Jim and thank you Team Red

It is great to do business with a company who's vision extends beyond profits margins.
A company who cares about the future and making it better for the consumers and the stocckholders.

Just by being this type of a company, you are already changing the world for the better.

Bought an Epic X, lost a little money on resale value before it arrived. Who cares, I've ordered another at the new low price :P all is back to normal hahahaha.
