  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Celere lenses by Hanse Inno Tech

Last week, we were given the opportunity to test the first out of four uncoated prototypes of the Celere 36mm T1.5 by Hanse Inno Tech GmbH under various light conditions. The result: very natural and soft skin tones, at the same time a nuanced appearance of green shades and lensflares with interesting image characteristics.

David these look great.

How easy is it to swap out the uncoated/coated elements?

Also do the uncoated elements provide extra exposure?

From what I've heard, the Anamorphics aren't coming in September. Prototypes may be shown at Cinec or Photokina (or not), but they are still a work in progress. The 18.5 will be shown (for sure) and is scheduled to be delivered this Fall in limited quantities.

Bought them today at MBF in Berlin and tried the 85 and 36mm on our Amira. They won't leave the camera anymore :)

Can you say a little more about what you liked about them?

Hi Gwen,

did you got my mail?

I'm planing an extensive test of the full Celere set, either in August or after IBC. Will post the result here on reduser incl. the R3D files.
Hanse Inno Tech will also send me (hopefully soon) some frame grabs which I'll post here.

Cheers

Where can I see them & try them at IBC?:001_cool:

Hey Dave will you be at Cinec this year?

Viola and I will be at IBC and CINEC and probably also at Photokina this year. We'll be most of the time at the Hanse Inno Tech booth at CINEC to talk about our experience with the lenses. We'll also show some new lights on their booth.

I tried them. You want to own them. Order a set from ABEL CINE now - because they won't be able to make them fast enough.

I will have them on 8K VV in RED BOOTH and on 8K HELIUM in VITEC booth at IBC.

Can't wait to meet you there. Steven and Lars from Hanse Inno Tech and my company are working together on a new module for RED cameras. Your HELIUM will love it!

This looks like a nicely tough out set of lenses David, too bad I am not coming back to Europe this Summer but I might in October!

Ketch, you should visit us in Freiburg. I'll arrange coated and uncoated Celere lenses for a test shoot.

The fully uncoated version that I had was ~T1.55 since one coating layer, which is normally applied to modern lenses, seems to increase the amount of light that's send into the lens. There will be four uncoated prototypes at CINEC (one of them with no "color" coating but with a coating to keep the lens at T1.5). Based on the feedback, Hanse Inno Tech will decide which uncoated front elements will used for the the final product.

Come over to the RED booth to see them on Mark's WEAPON 8K VV!

Are the Anas still coming in September? Also how is the 18.5 coming along?

The anamorphics still need some time. If everything goes well, there will be a prototype in December. The 18.5 prototype will be shown at CINEC (and maybe a sneak peek at IBC).

Just tried them and there are truly amazing for the price. The only thing is the close focus distance on longer lenses. Really curious about the 18.5

Real good work!

If anyone still wants to get their hands on these lenses, we have our demo set available. It is currently in our LA office, but can be transferred to NY if needed.

Scott, Brian - I would love to get together and compare these to slrmagic APO and Leica Summicron C and summilux R

Dan, I am in Southampton, NY and want to see these in NYC, but would love to try the slr magic Apo and the Summas- summis? I have the Helium and what a test that would be.
