I think there is a language barrier at play here. I know I speak English... ;-)

Hello Joel,
Could you elaborate? Thanks.
The iris markings are also rather odd in that there is no specific line indicating the current aperture, the number is the mark.
The 85mm front is quite odd (and Bright Tangerine sadly does not make a proper 85mm ring) but I do like the potential for 77mm screw in.
Would like to see more marks above 10' on the focus scale; 10, 12, 15, 20 would be much nicer than just jumping 10 to 20.
Saturday or Sunday morning (sept. 24 or 25) work for me.
feel free to email me at mrpolaroid@gmail.com
we can start a little email chain.
Tom G. Had mentioned Celeres being available - I haven't reached out to coordinate any of that because I'm prepping a shoot, also want to confer with Nick and not make any decisions on his behalf without checking.
Just to clarify…Bright Tangerine DOES make an 85mm threaded adapter ring and 85mm clamp-on ring for the VIV, however they don't make an 85mm clamp-on ring for the Misfit. Of course you can always use the Black Hole flexible donut with the Misfit…that should work great. The 85mm front is quite odd (and Bright Tangerine sadly does not make a proper 85mm ring) but I do like the potential for 77mm screw in.

And yes, I'm pretty sure that the 18.5mm Celere is a larger front diameter, however specs have not been published yet.
The 18.5 is a 95mm front. All the others are 85mm.
Interesting…I didn't know that about the 85mm…thanks. Maybe BT can be persuaded to make a proper 85mm ring...The 85mm threaded ring from Bright Tangerine does not have the lens stop in it that the rest of the rings have, presumably for canon zoom lenses that trombone. The downside is that the box does not have a hard stop. My AC smacked the lens into the back of a diopter last week expecting the matte box to stop when the lens hit the ring.
Set of 77mm threaded step up rings to a 95mm outside and some new press on caps will do the trick. Unfortunate, but works.
I was thinking the same thing too, but these are things you shouldn't be doing with lenses at this price point specifically designed for the cine market. Something I would rather not deal with or have to give a heads up to a production when they are looking to rent a set. I know you can use the BT Black hole or some lens donut to work around it.
What are the chances that they will retrofit and re-design the current lenses to 95mm?
There's no FF 18,5 mm T1.5 in Rokinon/Samyang lineups. There's a massive difference between Xeens and the Celere's and yes I've tested them personally (not the 18,5mm though). Actually I don't give shit about where lenses come from, are they looking good? Do they produce good images? Any filmmaker who gets attached to just working with high end brands because that's the "only" way to create good images is in my opinion not a true filmmaker. It's our job to understand and do what's necessary to create the images we need or want. If I find a half trashed still lens that someone found in a puddle sometime in the eighties and since then have been gathering dust in a drawer, then that will give me a kind of image that no other lens will give me.
Celere are really good lenses. I personally look forward to the Sigma Cine Lenses, but that's because I love the Sigma ART series. However, I'm gonna weigh heavy between the Celeres and Sigmas before I sell my CN-Es.
Best bet would be to contact them directly and ask that very question. They're VERY open to suggestions from customers. I got a close-up look at the lenses and got to chat with the designer in person here in Melbourne when he took the lenses roadtripping around the world, and he said as much to my face.
A universal front end is pretty essential in my mind (most other peoples too I imagine), but directly requesting an update to the outer barrels of the lenses is the only thing that's likely to get them revised and standardised.
Hold on to your Canons. Far better investment.
