Is there a ring that will accommodate Canon L Glass for the RED CF Pro MatteBox? Or only CinePrimes/zooms?

RED sells a 95mm stepdown ring and you can possibly find other rings to go down to whatever your lenses are but the RED matte box is a clip on matte box and is quite a large one so it is far from ideal on small photo lenses....

lenses will have to endure quite some stress with a large clip on + filters since they were not designed to support such weight at all.... I would avoid trying it altogether...

I would say your only safe way of doing this would to be getting a rod mounted system/adaptor, these clip on matteboxes aren't meant for cute little photography lenses, rather for large diameter cinema lenses. you can use rubber mattebox donughts to block of excess light coming from the back.

lol I know they aren't meant for still glass however I don't have an entire Cp2 set so I wanted to know if it's possible. I found an adapter on B&H that downscales from 110mm to 77mm. I think this will do the trick along with rods for support. All my other cine glass is fine.

I have that matt box and have never tried it with DSLR lenses, but there is no reason it won't work if you buy this thing;

I have the honking RED 18-58 PL lens, and I use the matte box and the associated bits to support it.

Are you talking about the ROD Supports? Wouldn't it still cause potential light leak from the rings not completely cutting out light in front of filters?

I bought one of these ( I saw someone on the net uses them with success with just the clip-on method) : http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/679718-REG/Chrosziel_AC_411_77_110_77mm_Step_Down_Ring.html

Yes, that's the best solution. But using the rod support you can always get one of those super cheap cloth things to block the light....I have one of those from another matte box and while not elegant, they do work.
