It is burning a hole in my head waiting to announce on Nov. 3rd.

Day one purchase. Easily. I mean, I can envision a lot of different possible configurations for the camera for which that would be true, but something along these lines would be the best possible combination of features, performance and price point as far as I am concerned. It looks so good that I don't even know if it's realistic to expect anything along these lines. I'd probably pour $20k into ordering Red gear and other equipment on the third, easily. With all of the excitement, if I had to guess, I'd say the Scarlet will be:
4K
RAW
S35
1-60 fps
Interchangeable Lens
Choice of Lens Mount
Around $8K
I have no inside information... this is just based on past RED designs and industry guesswork.
Can't wait!

In fact, Jim, it's a well-known situation in "writing science"... The more teasing you do, the more risks you take to disappoint afterwards. A surprise isn't really a surprise if it's been announced ;-)
I'm not going to spill the beans... but I can say that some of you have over-shot the mark. Think beating the competition severely... but not impossible.
