US made.... makes me happy:)

And as for Kris' comments.... 100% + correct. Having had a major loss, even though we spent almost every moment together and talking, still would have loved to have wasted less apart. Take care Kris and everyone.

People love a dreamer, especially when they make the dream come true - dream on!

There's no better cure for what ails you than getting back to what you love to do and digging into a problem that needs fixin'!

Welcome back, Jim - it's good to know you are back in the fray! I'm sorry you have to bring this news back with you - I can tell just from reading how annoying it must be.

For what its worth, I'd like to see the camera either Made in America or Fair Trade...though I don't know if there is such a thing as Fair Trade manufacturing? Of course, I have absolutely no idea what that could do to the price....

Glad to hear from you! Take your time, we are not going anywhere! With RED all the way.
So good to hear that you are back! That's what's important. Will wait for Scarlet as it is worth it, even 2011, nothing comes close! - Dave

Good to have you back Jim!
I think a camera manufacturer in the U.S. is a great idea.
God bless America

Thanks for the update Jim, Although it isn't always great news, I love that it helps us to put speculation to rest. It will be ready soon enough i am sure. Good to have you back. Don't work yourself sick, you'll live longer, and thats good for all of us too.

Welcome back Jim. Whatever happened, we support you forever. We're your biggest fan in China.

... To compound matters, the company that was to make Scarlet has made an incredible announcement recently and has significant issues. You can probably figure out who this is. This will force us to find a new manufacturing partner for that product. When we 1st got wind of this, we decided to make EPIC in the US, hoping that the company would find a solution in time for Scarlet production. That now seems unlikely so we are now scrambling for a new partner. ...

Jim,

Welcome back and PLEASE TAKE CARE of yourself!

I'd also like to add to the chorus of people saying they are happy that Epic is being manufactured in the US.

There are a lot of hard won environmental and labor laws that improve our lives here. Customers should be willing to pay more cameras made in the US.

Again, Welcome Back!!

Jim you don't need to ask for our support, you already had it! We're all apart of this together, like you and Jarred. We'll wait patiently with excitement, just as I'm sure you and the rest of the Red team are doing.

It's good to have you back on the forum.

Jono

I do not recall the last time a major manufacturer asked for my support with genuine humility, much less the owner. For what it is worth, RED means something more to me than a camera and I am happy to support a company that strives to do business as this company does. Good luck!

ps. yes I know: real names, I've asked, but I'm sure you all have bigger fish to fry.

Last post for the night... since it is 3am here. I believe in our team. I hope you do too...

Jim

when imnsoniac, i too close my eyes and visualize all this RED energy flowing everywhere......

Well Jim you asked for our support, looks like you have it, mine included. 22 pages and counting, all positive, not a single negative comment. Wow!

I guess that's the power of your vision, courage, & hard work combined with your humility and openness.

Glad you are fit and well again and back at the helm.
