  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Bomb EVF Shipping

ok, i have the Bomb....(its not the one from the M package though, its one my partner ordered regularly last year)
can please someone tell me.

1. how turn on and off the heater?
2. open gate, synced, darkdetail etc. on Epic? couldnt find similar settings like in the redone, which i really liked.
3. Clear the EVF?

please RED make a small adaptor plate, not bigger than a batteryplate, where you only have another Monitor port, so we can use the EVF and LCD at the same time while letting the cam in its small badass shape.
i know of 1000 situations where i want the pro i/o module, but also 1000 situations where i want the LCD and EVF while leaving the cam as small as possible.

great piece of gear.

SmallHD DP6 as your monitor... using the HD-SDI port leaving the main port free for the EVF. Use side handle or REDmote for menu operations. I find the touchscreen cumbersome - always hoped for an iPhone-like response but it tends to remind me more of a 5 year old Tomtom.

small HD wouldnt work for me, using the HDSDI as output for directors monitor here.
and this is a workaround, same as "use a zacuto EVF",
since epic is modular, a mini monitorport module makes perfect sense for me and a lot of others.
thats the beauty of modularity. and i rather spend money with RED :)

Jared your such a teaseeeeeeeeeee.. You guys are like drug dealers, a little taste and you have us all but the balls.. Hahahahaha!! I got my EPIC, so I'm happy,

but a serious question: when will the majority of items for the EPIC be available? I ask this so I don't go buy other people's things with the money that I'd rather spend on RED products..

impossible question to answer.. as there is such an incredible amount of accessories and modules that we are working on it will be a revolving door for quite some time :)

SDI splitter would get you by in the meantime

My EVF was ordered September 2010 separately. I haven't received the EVF for the Epic-M yet.
