Ok so I can't tell you who I shot the video for yet, but here are some little samples of what I shot...I was called on to be a DP for this gig, and got excited because I personally like the band and everyone knows their hit :) haha sorry but i'll update later as to who. ( its a band thats been around since the Beatles)

Anyway... it wasn't a very high budget shoot, and had to pull off a lot in a short amount of time. But once I heard black and white, I was in love with the idea. Shooting black and white with the scarlet is like using a completely different camera. Here are some samples of my shots...

It was a hard 2 day shoot, but I enjoyed the black and white a lot.My lighting setups were fairly simple, but since we had limited time, felt like it was harder, I didnt have my regular crew with me either so that made setups long too. I tried to keep the look within the range I originally had in my head, a last second script change threw out a lot of setups I had mentally planned for, and we had to make up a few new situations on the spot, but I think it worked out really well.

It also just so happend that the first day we filmed, the set had its AC off due to a problem, and we sweated in 95 degree temp inside all day... The show must go on! but I think the sacrifice was worth the footage.

Was that the 1st AC or the 2nd AC?

Nice grabs.

Very nice. I loved how the curtain was used in both the first and last clips. Also loved the dust specks flying around the guy's back that become visible as the camera move reveals the light source in the second clip. By the way, do you know when you'll be allowed to say which band? Will it be days or weeks?

Hot day, cool footage!

thanks!

yeah the curtain gag I came up with last second, thats part of the script change, but this way was much better. Most likely in about 1.5 weeks. I know the promotion is going to be wide, so im not sure what im allowed to really let out yet. I know they were working with Rolling Stone magazine with it, so I dont know whats happening till it's finished in post. I'll keep you guys updated
