Birger Lens Mount Reservations

What the heck is this whole "getting back on topic" BS? We weren't finished with the great pancakes VS waffles debate!

I'm here to set you all straight- you ain't had pancakes until you have them smothered in gravy made from a moose roast.

I maintain, pancakes, although more expensive to produce than waffles are less successful when looked at in percentages.

At this point we are prepared to move forward with this.. I am pleased to announce that the Birger mount will not void the global camera warranty with the modifications Erik has done.

Note though.. that any parts damaged from a potential electronic malfunction directly caused by the mount will not be covered.. and things like breaking the adjustable PL of the mount on removal/installation will not be covered ( since it never was designed to be removed)

Because of the removal of the adjustable section is required, the Birger mount will not be RED Certified, but I think alot of you will be happy with the fact that it does not void your global camera warranty.

Great to hear!

BTW, regarding the "pancake versus waffle" debate... French toast is the winner.

Based on what you've seen, does this look like something we should be planning to take somewhere to install or could someone with reasonable electro-mechanical intelligence be fine?

We want..

3. and what did Erik exactly do to the mount? how will it be fixed to the camera's front? why do we have to take off the entire mount?

I just looked at the date this thread opened. November, 27, 2007. Woah.

Nice bit of news to wake up to. Many thanks for the fast turn around. How did you you find the back focus adjustment? Was it straightforward to achieve?

Thanks again....

Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But now what does this kind of agreement mean for the P+S Technik / IMS. Can we expect a similar agreement there?

Ok.. Amy... Now you have to tell Erik to make a statement letting us know the situation in the new light...

If he walks off grumbling... "i've got important work to do" remind him how important a few minutes makes to keeping people from dropping orders.

Otherwise impersonate him and tell us something... anything...
