Birger Lens Mount Reservations

yes a large portion of my footage from Burning Man was shot on it. love it...

you need some light with it... as it's a 3.5- 4.5

you can put one ND on.... but not two and not a ND and a pola.... as it majorly vinettes if you are shooting 4K.

peace

...testing Birger

...testing Birger

Here's a list with the lenses we tested on Mike's RED with Birger. We just did a quick test so that is nothing scientific. The images with the Canon lenses look great, especially the L's. I prefer the L's because of the mechanical build quality and speed. Compared to Zeiss Standard and Super Speeds (which I used most in the past 9 month) the Canons are sharper, breathing is on par or even better. The Canon L Zooms (16-35, 24-70, 70-200) seem to hold focus but I have to look into it. I will do more testing when my Birger mount arrives...

Mike, many thanks for stopping by... :-)

The Birger mount is a terrific product. ERIK SHIP'EM OUT!

The way to get around that is just use a step up ring and larger filters, for example use a 77-82 step up ring and then use 82mm filters.

Tried to call Birger just now. No pickup.

Anyone have an inside contact # who can call to see what's going on?

Thanks.

ruimavideoart, that music video is awesome! Well done! Can't wait to see more.

my first videomusic shooting with birger
http://www.vimeo.com/2151392

Sensational looking video! I normally am not a "bokeh" person, but the bokeh in these shots was absolutely gorgeous. This is one more example of how tremendous still lens solutions are/will be for the RED. Such a nice balance of contrast, soft hilights, bokeh, and crisp, sharp resolution.

To augment the sensuous visuals, this music was pretty good also, not something I feel about the vast majority of music videos posted at this forum. Well done all around!

Hi There

Can't say that I like the sound of this.

No updates from Andy either.

And P+S has also gone dark.

Either something big is happening behind the scenes, or the future is Nikon...

Yeah, I'm starting to get a similar feeling of something brewing in the background. It seemed like Erik was on a string of regular updates to the forum. I can find no other reason for him to be so silent for this long now. Jim and Jarred do seem more giddy than usual. Any other theories?

Just got mine!!!!

It is mounted and I am on my way to test some canon lens. I have a friend with about ten.

It's been a long time since I ordered last November. Let the good times roll. More details tonight.
