  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Beta REDCINE for Build 16...

Paste all = AWESOME

Broken ISO = Same here

No audio pass through = still? please?

Many thanks Jim and team,

Much appreciated. You are true to your word.

aloha,

Keith

Any info on render speeds compared to a previous version ?

Pleasantly surprised. Paste all function for color settings is great. 25 fps clips showed up as 25. Although I had to manually change the project settings. Iso is not working, though, but somebody already mentioned that. RedSpace is looking great. Now I only have to wait for Redline to show up before I can load up build 16...

good to see RC16 is going beta!
I am surprised by the reduction of QT codecs - why is that reduced?

I believe you can go in and modify the list of supporting quicktime codecs. Perhaps Red team has kept the list to the most common ones to keep the interface clean. If I'm remembering correctly, it's in the Redcine documentation. I'll check to make sure I'm not imagining this.

Here it is from Redcine Text file.

On OSX the default location is:
/Library/REDCINE

- Settings\ImageFormats.cfg
- Settings\Aspects.cfg
These files are generated the first time REDCINE start's.
You can manually adjust these to add more default formats and
aspect ratios to the REDCINE settings menus.

What video card do you have?
What computer?

Howdy,

I'm on a MacbookPro running Vista 64bit SP1
2.4 GHz 2GB Ram
120GB HDD
NVidia 8600M GT

I'd send a screenshot but whenever I take a picture, redcine exports a still instead of windows doing a screen shot.

P.S.
From what I understand, a Windows on a mac using bootcamp is really no different than Windows on a regular computer. The difference is mac's don't use a "bios", so that is why normally you can't put windows on a mac. But bootcamp updates the mac firmware and then emulates a bios and therefore windows is able to see it and boot.
