No slot 2 is the 2nd slot from the top which means you likely have to move the primary video card.

Good to know that they're getting the TB card fixed, I might have to order one now... 
To answer a question from above about 16GB DDR4 modules, Micron has them. They're supposed to ship "any day now," but that has been the situation for a few weeks. AFAIK, they're all only rated at 2133. Corsair also has some floating about out there (so I've heard), I've actually seen the Micron DIMMs, and the Corsair DIMMs are claimed to be rated at 2400MHz. My guess is we won't see them until they get caught up on supply for the 8GB DIMMs and maybe start converting some of the DDR3 fab lines over. So I guess I jumped the gun on recommending the 16GB DIMMs, especially faster ones. I haven't been paying attention to what is actually in the channel at the moment.

The Micron dimms I saw Jeff were LR Dimm's which are basically Reg Dimms. The Crucial Dimms are definitely reg dimms.

Not talking about registered or LR DIMMs. These should be entering the channel soon. Micron is just a few minutes from me, I know people who work there, I've seen these with my own eyes, even running on an Asus X99 Deluxe MB.

Good to know. I guess they have kept on a lid on it then. Normally that info is atleast 1 review site a month or so before they hit the shelves especially when its a density option not available before.
BTW the Z10PE D8 WS boards do not handle Unbuffered ram like the previous versions. Still dont know why Asus changed that but it's Reg or LR Dimms only on that. Server guys are always so picky. Must be having lunch with the Intel Xeon guys now days
