  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Is there any safe way paint Scarlet to Black?

I wanted a pink (or a blue) Scarlet 2/3". :'(

Id advise you NOT to do that for various reasons.

But if youve got the balls to do it.
Ill give you 50$ for paint just let me watch you go nuts.

I saw a lot of photos here and there. Maybe I`am daltonist, but for me it is pretty close to black... Correct me if I`m wrong please :)

Ok, ok. Now I see. It is dark grey :) But for me it is completely unimportant. It could be even pink, blue or green. Doesn`t matter. For that price you are getting the best dark grey camera in the world ! Everyone knows it.

here ya go Marceli I can see how one can feel its black, it can be hard to distinguish at times but here is a side by side with an EPIC for you to have a better idea.

Thank You! Wow, on the 2nd photo the frontpanel looks very bright! Ok, now I understand where is average tone :) Also I like this gray color! Can`t wait for my 2 Scarlets!

Great idea! Then you can rent it out as an Epic or even sell it and make boku bucks! #Ghetto Red
 
Too bad the R3D it captures will always have SCARLET X in the metadata.


I would file the OP's question in the:

BAD IDEA's pile.

If you really want to go pink buy the cage and have at it...just and idea =)
 
If you're going to paint it, Paint it Scarlet. An Airplane Model Maker should be able to paint it any colour you want.
