Looks sweet! So, the basic production pack now comes with an OConnor 2060 head? ;)

Hell, I'll take two then. :)

Looks really good.

Feels like old times. Things posting every day or so.

Looks good Jarred, do we have any pricepoints on a second handle to go with that rig yet?

Cheers

Paul

I just get this really weird feeling looking at that photo. It's that feeling where my mind is trying to make the intellectual leap that I could feasibly see it with my own eyes in a few weeks. I know seeing it is going to be like seeing the great wall of China. You know it exists and you've seen a ton of photos but then it's just there... sitting... not doing anything... existing.

Looking good! I dig the new handle and the fact that the upper rail system is now split into two parts. She sure has lost a lot of weight since NAB.

But the best part? No more CF rods!!!

Well I certainly look forward to the day when I can go "Does this feel like vapourware?"

I met people at NAB 07 that were adamant the camera was still never going to come to market. Seriously.

Keep the posts coming Red Team.

I'm happy to see that the top handle appears to have extra mounting points - essential for mounting LCD, mics, on-camera lights, umbrellas (only half kidding). Also the top front bracket looks very promising. I agree with Finner that we need a very secure mount for the EFV - possibly something beefier than the Red-Arm.

QUESTION: Is this the same top handle as the enclosed handle we've seen, but missing the back dipping piece which mounts to the back? Or is this a completely separate handle? I like both and can't decide which to buy.

I think we're thinking of going with the basic production pack, but my concern is whether that one grip for the rods is going to be sufficient, but for our budget the premium pack might be overkill. Is the basic pack sufficient enough for handheld use?

lboyce, as far as we have been told all the parts that make up the production packs can be purchased separatly, so for that full hand held comfort, just add another handle. (I guess)

I think you can buy an extra handle separately. In the past Red has said that all pieces can be purchased individually so that you can buy what you need.

EDIT - Eirik beat me to it!
