  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Backorder Update - November 8

I think where people's frustrations stem from is that there was so much secrecy prior to the event. November 3rd, we were going to find out everything...but I don't know if everyone expect pre-2012 shipping dates to be announced. I know I didn't.

So there wasn't any time at all to really look into what you were doing, it turned into a race of who can slip through the cracks in the server the fastest.

It was like a buy first, ask questions later type of deal.

Unfortunately for me, I was all ready to put down my deposit on the 2nd, but I was in a car accident (totaled my car) which kept me from doing anything until I had figured out what was going to happen with the car and everything. Delayed my decision which is a bummer, and I'm kicking myself for not just going ahead with the deposit...it was just the last thing on my mind.

Sorry to hear about the misfortune. I hope the car was the only thing affected.

I agree with what you are saying. Like myself I think many of us are new to RED so did not realize how we were going to have to exercise a lot of faith. Furthermore we had that experience you are speaking of - about act first and think later -- and while it was the right move it doesn't come without anxiety.
 
Ok.. time for an update :)

PRO/IO - Production tooling finally kicked off. Still needs FCC certification when it comes out of fab, which means Likely April.

DSMC Tactical Adapter - Mini - For all orders up till today- out of backorder Next Thursday

DSMC Tactical Right Adapter - For all orders up till today- out of backorder Next Wed.

DSMC Ti Canon Mount - For all orders up till today - out of backorder Mid January.

DSMC Tactical Right Adapter - For all orders up till today - out of backorder next Friday.

Epic Quickplate - For all orders up till today - out of backorder next Friday.

Quad Battery module - slipped a bit.. Starts to ship mid January.

Module Adapter - Starts to ship mid January.

DSMC Side Handle - For all orders up till today- out of backorder Feb.

Quad Charger - Begins shipping January 14th :)

Nice update. :)

Didn't see one on there, what about the DSMC tactical top plate? Just have to ask, even if you don't know..

And how's that Nikon mount coming along? I wanna trick-fuck myself just thinking about getting my hands on it. <sorry, kinda>
 
R90 mmmm. Love that thing.... but is sitting in the backseat till all our other stuff gets caught up.

Maybe we can use it on that "INFAMOUS" Lingerie Fashion Shoot we are supposed to do... Since as far as I can remember, you busy guy... ;)


Your pick... Florence, Milan, Rio, Tokyo, Hong Kong, I can sure use the R90 in any and all of them, but Would love nothing more to use "IT" together on any of this Shoots... ;)

What kind of timeline would a Nov 3 Sidehandle be on in this case?
 
Not sure how to read the ti mount. Did you mean just pure mount orders or scalets with ti to?

likely mid January or so.
 
Ouch! So no ti scarlets this year or before mid jan?
