I'm glad I waited. I'm switching. This is the editor to go, IMO.

Will Avid 6.0 utilize the Red Rocket?

[Igor Ridanovic]

64 bit application, color surface support, Epic support and more. This is a significant release. There is more at a press release that came out today on Avid site.

Will Avid 6.0 utilize the Red Rocket?

Avid 5.5 already utilizes the RR when transcoding.

[Martin Widerberg]

I think l I heard 1499dollars for switchers from Fcp. And you can keep it
I bought it before oct 15. Damn.
Upgrade price from 5.5?

[Michael Totten]

Avid 5.5 already utilizes the RR when transcoding.

What about native R3D playback, scrubbing and editing in the timeline ?

[Bing Bailey]

AMA supports native playback for R3D Red One/MX/Epic

[Igor Ridanovic]

New crossgrade from FCP is $1,499. They extended it permanently.

[Marcos Montenegro]

The new Artist Color controller looks sweet, plus it ca control REDCINE-X....that's cool.

[Jeremy Torrie]

You can natively playback Epic within 6 with a Red Rocket. Huge time saver. Editing sequences now.

All I can say at the moment -stuff they have confirmed themselves.
