Here's a video with the Pocket 6K PL version with 6 anamorphic lens; Cooke, Master, Hawk V-Lite, Kowa, LOMO and Atlas Orion. I personally Liked the looks of the Hawk V-lites and Atlas Orion Anamorphic lenses the best. They appear to have similar characteristics.

Swapped my old Cinemascopes for a set of Orions and got these yesterday. Overly pleased to have these. I have just been swinging them around the christmas tree so far but will play with them more during the hollidays.

But yes so far I really like them, super nice builds, like possibly the nicest I ever laid my hands on and I played with most of whats available out there. I got the 100,65,40mm set. I think I like the 100mm the most, but thats more due to me liking a bit longer focal lengths, its absolutely nothing wrong with the 65 and 45 ether.

Compared to other ana´s I like the coatings and the soft / light flare and glare they come with. They simply don't go all haywire like most anas do. Orions feel more like a set of Master anas with a soft filter. But I actually like the image distortion in these better than the master ana´s that are so rectilinear they go pincushin at certain focal lengths and targets. The Orions are slightly beveled in a nice way and stay that way when pulling focus, with very little distortion change when pulling focus. Like less than I seen on any other Anas and then I was testing them in monstro 7k which lot of the others even cant handle without serious vignetting.

First I wanted the whole lineup which would have been nice to have for sure. But after some consideration I figured I can never really travel with such setup. 3 lenses in a case possible, 6 cased lenses and it starts to get difficult to get on the plane. And even if it sacrifice quality a bit I dont worry much to tap down on resolution instead of swinging lens. Using the 100mm and being able to swap between 8k ana and 5k ana gives incremental FOV options equal to everything between 100mm and 65mm. Same for the shorter focal lengths using the 65mm in 5k gives same FOV as using a 46mm if shooting 7k.

With good exposure etc I don't worry much to crop in on the sensor so In short having a set of 3 for me covers it all. Between 100mm and 35mm if using 7k-5k captures which I have no problem mixing. Quicker to work that way also with way less lens swings... But, yes quite possible I have to eat this statement later when I go and order the in-betweens. But if Dan Kanes and gang decided to make a couple of longer than 100mm lenses to go with these I would for sure buy them before getting the 32,50 and 80mm. With monstro 100mm ana´s simply does not feel like the edge of the spectrum. Would be way cool with a 150 and even 200mm.

Thanks for detail analysis and it looks like Santa was very good to you this year! I've always thought that the Orion lenses had a similar aesthetic as the Master Anamorphics as well. In the test above, however, I thought the masters seem a bit blue in comparison to the slightly warmer Hawk V-lites and Atlas Orions which look similar. This could possibly be due to a white balance difference between shots. looking forward to your tests!

Motionless In White - Another Life [OFFICIAL VIDEO]

Max Moore Directed this video and Lil Lotus's video "Never get Away" which used an Atlas Anamorphic lens around the same time period. So I'm going to "assume" that this video used an Atlas Anamorphic lens as well. However, this video could have used spherical lenses with a crop in post as well.But Maybe Dan can confirm it either way.

The Cooke's usually look better to me. I think that maybe I preferred the Hawk V-lite and Orion lenses because the looked more contrasty than the CooKe's and Lomo. But,as you stated, I still liked the Orions.
