  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I can't verify this, but I believe Palisades “War” official video was shot with Atlas Anamorphic lenses. Maybe Dan can confirm or deny this.

Be aware of the limitations of some of these tests that are being posted. People are shooting tests on cropped sensors. As an example the Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro 4.6K has a sensor only 14.25mm high. To see the full coverage of the lenses you need a 18mm high sensor. This might seem like nit picking but Anamorphic have often struggled with sharpness top and bottom and cropped tests are not showing the whole lens. Tests on Dragon and Helium sensors will not show the full coverage even at full gate. Gemni and Monstro with their tall sensors are the only Red Cameras that can leverage the entire coverage of these lenses. While these "cropped" tests are relevant to these specific cameras or sensor size they are not showing the full picture on lens performance. Don't read me as being down on the Orion Anamorphics as they look like amazing value.

Thomas’ order number or time will have little to no relation on when to expect your order.

Generally you should be allocated roughly before NAB based on my quick lookup.
