mmmm looks very similar to NetGear NightHawk but the specs are insane!!! Wow

I have this. It's nuts.

For context, I live on the 5th floor of a downtown hi-rise, big cement walls, but I can get wifi from my apt from nearly 1.5 blocks away.

Basically it's probably microwaving my brain.

There is wayyyyyy more radiation passing through you from the television towers. So no need to worry. ;)

The worst effect from microwave radiation is that you'll warm up a little bit. But if you sweat... you'll compensate.

Gavin - we will discuss and debate this over drinks - but even though I think you are one of the smartest guys I have ever met - you are actually wrong on the "no need to worry" on this subject.

Just picked one of these up to test out after seeing this post. Incredible router, my house has had WiFi deadspots the whole time I have owned it, no hardware has ever helped, this thing 100% solved my problems. However I sleep like 25ft and one wall away from this WMD...I will report back.

Debating picking up two more of these, one for my parents, who's house seems to eat wifi signals. And another for use with FoolControl. So my question is can you create a network purely using this router, that the Epic using a Hot Box/Link, and an ipad/macbook, can access, for control over the camera from greater ranges?

Have not tested this one in particular but with other routers as long as it can give DHCP addresses to the devices, even without being connected to a the internet (just creating a local network) I can then connect HOTLink, REDLink or direct GIG-E camera cable to it, and then connect iPhone or mac to it and control all the available cameras...
