  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

ARRI 4K Super 35 Camera Will be Launched Next Month

Rand the Jet drop link doesn't appear to do anything? I get to a page where it looks like it supposed to be downloading but nothing ever comes.

Yeah, JETDROP doesn't really give you all the normal indicators that it is actually doing something


After you press the "Down-Arrow" Icon to begin the download, you will see a "BLUE" line start at the top of the white box area that will began to start going from left to Right. When that Blue line goes completely to the right and finishes, the normal "Downloading" indicator will start and began to save the file on your computer at a usually fast speed.

ok - its working on Chrome. It does not like safari. After you click the down arrow it just sits there showing 0 bps and never starts.

DJ,

I'm glad you got it to work, I'm on Windows using Edge but that's weird that Safari is behaving that way.

I thought I'd try a trial version of Assimilate Scratch V.9.5( I don't know if this trial is version 9.5.1111 or not) The graph above said that Scratch 9.5.1111 was capable of handling all things ARRI Alexa 35 so I wanted to see for myself with my limited experience inside of Scratch.

So I put a couple of ARRIRAW Alexa 35 HDE files on the "Construct" page and added an ARRI AWG4/ALC4 to REC709 2.4 conversion Lut to all of them.

I thought that once I made any type of grade of the images that I would maybe be given an additional option to "SAVE" that grade as a "ALF4" file but it seems i didn't get one

Also I was hoping to see some type of "Contextual Menu" pop up and give me some option to Transcode this Alexa LF AWG3/ALC3 to AWG4/ALC4 but I didn't see one and the AWG3/ALC3 footage just came in as AWG3/ALC3. I tried using the AWG4/ALC4 to REC709 Lut on the footage to see if that would "trigger" something but it didn't. I just chalked this all up to not being familiar with Assimilate Scratch or this trial version not maybe being fully functional or either not being version 9.5.1111. I also setup the project with the "Color Management " setting turned off so maybe that could have affected things also.

"Hey guys, things have been pretty slow lately at work. I grabbed some cameras and did a little series of tests. I shot these with a custom white balance off my color chart. I used my Fuji X-T4, an ARRI Alexa 35, Sony Venice, Canon C300 mk3, RED Kamodo, Sony FX3.

I had a Canon NFD 50mm f1.4 on the Fuji. On the Alexa, Venice, Kamodo, and FX3 I put an Angenieux EZ-2 22-60mm T3. On the Canon C300 mk3 I put a DZO Pictor 20-55mm T2.8."
