  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

April shipping update

Sergio, probably your rep being conservative. Under promise, over deliver : )

Kris, would have to look at you individual time stamp and cross reference that to our production schedule. As you can imagine, with thousands of orders out there, doing that for each person upon request would literally bury me. If you order from dealer, the time stamp is between you and the dealer, we don't even know that info. We can only control direct orders.

Thanks Brendan, luckily I have mine with a vendor, I haven't looked at that page in a while...of course, I looked at it enough the previous three months to last a lifetime.

But you are right, sobering. Very glad I placed my order when I did.

No problem, saw it linked in another thread somewhere (can't remember where). I had previously ordered about 2 weeks ago but then got in with a vendor who had an order in already -- so glad I switched. Their predictions are saying under 4weeks so hoping I get lucky.

I thought this too, hehe ;-) is the right strategy to make us happy, hihi... thanks brent I am very happy with all you guys at red, you do a awesome job and have a lot of patience with us impatient customers. ;-)

Dragan, remember RAVEN was developed in mind as an ideal cam for drone/gimbal/etc use, so a JETPACK bundle was obvious. As I have noted in earlier threads, RED will be moving away from "bundles" to "collections" where people will be able to swap in/out bits within the collection, but there will be no bundle discount. Consensus was "flexibility" is better than saving a few bucks.

All, on delivery timelines, as has been point out in other threads can be fluid. But if you are receiving from RED US, being shipped within 2-3 business days AFTER allocation and AFTER paid in full is pretty standard. If via a RED office, tack on a few days of transit from RED to that office. Obviously, once we are off backorder, those offices will have product in stock for immediate processing.

Haha, I'm in this boat. Dec 10th preorder, hoping my allocation goes out soon! They flew into November time stamps super fast, so I've got my fingers crossed for another big wave.

EDIT: Also, there's no need to reach out to my rep, right? They wouldn't have any information or need anything from me pre-allocation? I do need to order some accessories, should I line those up ahead of time or is it safe to just tack them on when I pay for my package?
 
I'm a Dec 10 19:00 brain only time stamp, hoping there's not a lot of people in front of me in the first 35 or so minutes. I do already have all the money paid up in my Red account because I'm so anxious!

Josh, I would go ahead and order those now considering that the accessory availability is another queue (although a much shorter one) because of high demand.
 
Brent, what happen to the Raven pkgs?
1. they were supposed to ship in march, none have
2. they were supposed to be being allocated simultaneously by time stamp with scarlet-w pkgs weeks ago, lots of scarlets went out, no raven pkgs did
3. allocations were supposed to ramp up monday, nothing happened.
4. now its all first day order notices will go out pre-nab, which now we have today and tomorrow business days, to allocate probably 100 raven pkgs?
im sorry to be a pain but nothing makes sense.
i have 12 people not on reduser that keep asking me because it seems to them that i keep giving them misinformation.

yes, for me its ok, if no one ever said anything id just be chillin', but we are given expectations so we plan around that.
i get 10-15 texts a day asking me for some reason, whats going on…well the reason is because being on this forum was thought to give me some insight.

1. Not true.
2. See reply to 3.
3. I said production ramped up, not allocations. That means, we have larger quantities to build. And as they are ready to be be allocated, they will be.
4. Where did you get the 100x number?

1. at the beginning brains were to be shipped in feb and pkgs in march, stated by jarred. then when 4.5k came, jarred said both will now be in march
2. you said something to the fact if 10x accessories are ready, 5x will go to scarlets and 5x will go to ravens according to timestamp
3. ok
4. 100x is a rough number, a guess, of how many raven pkgs were ordered 9/24-25, if its much lower than that then great!
 
I have a feeling many, many more orders were placed 9/24-9/25 than 100
